The Maine’s musical journey began with a five-song concept EP, “The Way We Talk,” in 2007. Following a successful stint at the Vans Warped Tour, they released their debut album, “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop,” produced by Matt Squire, which led to a major-label deal with Warner Bros. in 2009. The band’s rise continued with their sophomore album, “Black & White,” in 2010, accompanied by their first headlining tour and Album of the Year recognition from Alternative Press.
In the years that followed, The Maine ventured into new territories, releasing albums like “Pioneer” in 2011 and “Forever Halloween” in 2013, expanding their musical horizons and garnering critical acclaim along the way. By 2015, their sound had matured, drawing comparisons to bands like the 1975, exemplified in the success of their album “American Candy.” The band’s commitment to their fans was evident through free promotional tours and intimate shows, further solidifying their connection with audiences. Embracing a melodic pop direction, The Maine explored covers of both classic and contemporary hits, showcasing their versatility and creativity. Their musical evolution continued with releases like “Lovely Little Lonely” in 2017, “You Are OK” in 2019, and their upcoming album, “XOXO: From Love and Anxiety in Real Time,” set to be unveiled in 2021.

On their new album I Want It All Right Now, GROUPLOVE offer up a body of work built on a raw but incandescent sound that vocalist/keyboardist Hannah Hooper refers to as “resistance pop.” As Hooper reveals, the Atlanta-based band’s sixth full-length emerged from a period of intense transformation for herself and her husband/bandmate, vocalist/guitarist Christian Zucconi. “For me this whole journey started with wanting or asking for certain things from the world around me, then slowly turning inward and realizing I needed to pay more attention to what was going on internally,” says Hooper. Over the course of 11 shapeshifting songs, GROUPLOVE’s debut release for Glassnote Records documents that progression from external searching to radical self-discovery, infusing each track with the wildly unbridled spirit the band has always embodied.

The Ramona Flowers
The Ramona Flowers channel the airtight interplay, undeniable chemistry, and uncontainable energy of four close friends jamming in a room into anthems that are as cinematic as they are catchy. As such, the UK quartet—Steve Bird [vocals], Sam Dyson [guitar], Dave Betts [keys, guitar], and Ed Gallimore [drums]—infuse pop with the personal and tactile touch of live instrumentation, lean songcraft, and lush organic production. In essence, the group ignite a fresh and fiery sound the old-fashioned way.
Since emerging out of Bristol back in 2012, the band have quietly perfected this approach. They’ve engaged audiences with a series of fan favorite releases, including Dismantle and Rebuild [2014], Part Time Spies [2016], and Strangers [2018] as well as the If You Remember EP [2021] and Gotta Get Home EP [2022]. Among numerous anthems, they teamed up with none other than Nile Rodgers on “Up All Night,” which EARMILK hailed as “a densely packed electro-pop production full of dynamic synth melodies, unabating vocals, stadium-size horn elements, and of course Nile Rodgers’ signature funky guitar strums.” They’ve also notably shared stages with everyone from Barns Courtney, The Libertines, and Tom Grennan to Muse and Placebo.
In the end, The Ramona Flowers might just be what popular music and culture need.

Letdown.
Letdown. may have started as a pandemic project for Blake Coddington, but the Chicago/Nashville-based rocker is in a very different place in 2023. It was just three years ago that he began throwing videos on YouTube expecting to get a few hundred views, yet now he’s become a known and respected musical commodity both in-person and online with over 640K followers and 5.1M likes on TikTok, 25+ million views on his YouTube channel, over 80M on demand streams and editorial playlisting from the likes of Spotify’s All New Rock, New Noise, Rock Out and Rock Hard. Coddington is rapidly growing his presence away from the internet for the first time in Letdown.’s short history by finally bringing his music into the physical lives of his online fans across several sold-out, headlining shows this past year.
The powerful vocals and emotional lyrics over catchy, upbeat drums and guitars originally served as a cathartic way for the songwriter to express himself while working a dead-end job that he hated. “I always feel weird when people ask me how long I’ve been around, because I got so used to telling people that Letdown. was this new thing,” Coddington laughs. “But now we’re touring and we’ve got a record coming out with a label involved and all of this stuff. I know I’m not ‘seasoned’ yet, but it feels new, exciting, and different.
Barns Courtney
Barns Courtney’s third album, Supernatural, is a thrilling concept that seamlessly merges rock’s raw energy, glam’s flamboyance, and bluesy soul. Through hands-on involvement in production, Courtney reaches new heights in Supernatural, delivering his most compelling work yet.

As their first three releases topped U.K. charts, they made a steady climb in the U.S., hitting number six on the Billboard 200 with 2011’s Ceremonials. In 2015, they secured their first Billboard number one with How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, which became a worldwide smash. That same year they headlined the Glastonbury Festival and returned to the Top Five of the global album charts with 2018’s High as Hope. Following non-album singles like 2019’s “Jenny of Oldstones” and 2020’s “Light of Love,” Florence Welch and company released 2022’s choreomania-influenced set Dance Fever.
Formed in 2007 by vocalist Florence Welch and keyboardist Summers, Florence + the Machine released their debut single, “Kiss with a Fist,” on the Moshi Moshi label in June 2008. Once a full band was recruited, they signed with Island Records in November. Their critically acclaimed debut album, Lungs, followed in July 2009 and quickly became one of the year’s most popular releases in the U.K., where Florence charted four Top 40 singles in less than 12 months. The songs gathered steam in other parts of the world, too, particularly in America, where the anthemic “Dog Days Are Over” peaked at number 21 and went platinum. Lungs was reissued the following year in a two-disc package entitled Between Two Lungs, adding a bonus 12-track disc that featured live versions, remixes by the Horrors and Yeasayer, and Twilight soundtrack inclusion “Heavy in Your Arms.”
In 2010, Florence + the Machine returned to the studio with producer Paul Epworth (Bloc Party, Adele) to begin work on their second full-length outing. The resulting Ceremonials, which successfully expanded on the group’s already huge sound, arrived on Halloween in 2011. In addition to the lead single “Shake It Out,” the chart-topping set also included “No Light, No Light” and the Australian multi-platinum Top Three hit “Never Let Me Go.” The following year saw the release of CD and DVD versions of MTV Unplugged, an 11-track set filmed before a small studio audience that featured fan favorites along with a pair of covers, including “Try a Little Tenderness” and the Johnny Cash/June Carter classic “Jackson,” the latter of which featured guest vocals by Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme.
