Ice Nine Kills

Like the undead slashers celebrated in their songs, Ice Nine Kills return with The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood, a sequel of gruesome movie-sized proportion to The Silver Scream. The new album carves out a fresh, bloody homage to the VHS celluloid classics that possessed singer Spencer Charnas at an early age, with a devilish new twist.
Ice Nine Kills make music both timeless and timely, mixing metal, hardcore, and punk, with accessible power. New anthems like “Rainy Day” and “Hip To Be Scared” demonstrate Spencer’s fascination with fright, pop culture obsession, and his expertise with inescapably wicked melodic hooks and clever twists of phrase. Producer Drew Fulk returned for Welcome To Horrorwood which includes cameos from members of Papa Roach, Cannibal Corpse, Atreyu, Fit For A King, and Senses Fail.
Decadent, devious, and fiercely insane, Ice Nine Kills celebrate pop culture’s darkest edges, mining a cinephile library’s worth of iconic horror on The Silver Scream and its sequel. The creative marriage made in hell of music and fiction began in earnest with the Every Trick In The Book, which brought the previous three records’ themes to new levels.
The band’s synergy of music and lifestyle draws favorable comparisons to Slipknot and Rob Zombie. Visionary trailblazers and multimedia raconteurs, INK built a thrilling world for a growing legion of devoted true believers, with theatrical shows, high-concept videos, and inventive band-to-fan communion.

Dorothy

Gifts From The Holy Ghost, Dorothy Martin’s third studio album as frontwoman for the pseudonymous, rock band Dorothy, is the album she’s always wanted, and has perhaps been destined to make. Born from a sense of divine, spiritual urgency, it’s Dorothy’s most bombastic and victoriously rock and roll work yet.
While the band’s first, irreverently named album ROCKISDEAD, was made on a combination of whiskey and heartbreak—inspiring Rolling Stone to name them one of rock’s most exciting new acts, and JAY-Z to sign them to his label Roc Nation—Gifts was built on sobriety, health and spiritualism, in a way that reverses the clichéd ‘good girl gone bad narrative’.
Balanced on a great rock and roll spectrum, encompassing everything from swampy blues to ‘90s alternative, on Gifts, Dorothy has fulfilled her purpose as an artist, entertainer and spiritual being. She’s conquered darkness with light, numbness with feeling, disharmony with unity—all while delivering one of this year’s most fun rock and roll records.

Blue Öyster Cult

Blue Öyster Cult is an American rock band that originated in Long Island, New York, in 1967, specifically in the hamlet of Stony Brook. Known for their unique fusion of hard rock and psychedelia, the band gained fame for their occult and fantastical lyrics, which had a significant impact on the heavy metal music scene. Although Blue Öyster Cult has sold over 25 million records globally, with 7 million in the United States alone, their commercial success was somewhat limited. Hits like ‘(Don’t Fear) The Reaper’ (1976) and ‘Burnin’ for You’ (1981) became classic rock staples, along with tracks such as ‘Godzilla’ (1977). The band was also an early pioneer of music videos, with their videos receiving widespread recognition on MTV during its early years.
Throughout the 1980s, Blue Öyster Cult continued to release studio albums and tour, despite experiencing a decline in popularity that led to them being dropped by CBS/Columbia Records after the underperformance of their eleventh studio album, ‘Imaginos’ (1988). Despite this setback, the band maintained their presence through live performances and occasional soundtrack contributions. In 1998, they released ‘Heaven Forbid,’ their first album of original material in a decade. Following a period of sparse studio recordings due to lackluster sales of ‘Curse of the Hidden Mirror’ (2001), Blue Öyster Cult remained active as a live act. They released two more studio albums in the 2020s, namely ‘The Symbol Remains’ (2020) and ‘Ghost Stories’ (2024), which is rumored to be their final album. The band’s lineup has seen changes over the years, with Donald ‘Buck Dharma’ Roeser and Eric Bloom being the longstanding members. The collaborative efforts of their manager Sandy Pearlman and rock critic Richard Meltzer, both from Stony Brook University, played a crucial role in crafting the band’s iconic lyrics.
