YFN Lucci
YFN Lucci, known for his signature sound of “Yeahhhh Yeahhhhh Yeahhhh” at the end of his lines, is a talented and versatile lyricist. Making his official debut at the young age of 17, he has solidified his presence on the music scene with hit albums like Long Live Nut (2017) and Ray Ray from Summerhill (2018), both of which earned a spot on the Billboard 200. Continuing his success streak, Lucci impressed listeners in 2020 with his mixtape Wish Me Well 3.
Born as Rayshawn Bennett, the Atlanta MC discovered his passion for rap at 16 and was quickly recognized for his talent. Recruited by Johnny Cinco in his early days, Lucci’s career took off with appearances on various projects. In 2014, he joined TIG and released his debut mixtape, Wish Me Well, initiating what would be a series of successful releases. His EP Long Live Nut in 2017 marked a significant milestone by reaching number 27 on the Billboard 200 chart. Subsequently, Lucci’s 2018 releases, including the Meek Mill collaboration “Street Kings” and the EP Freda’s Son, catapulted him to even greater heights with Ray Ray from Summerhill becoming his first Top 20-charting album.
J. Lock
Born in Mississippi and now Atlanta-based, rapper J. Lock has been turning heads with his melodic flow. Utilizing his extraordinary penmanship and heart-capturing vocal riffs to tell his story the best way he knows how to; through the power of Music. Growing up, J. Lock was a quiet person. At the age of 14, he would begin to use music as an outlet and a form of expression. By doing so, music allowed him to be as free as he wanted to be. Being inspired by many of the greats such as Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole, J. Lock made it his initiative to put his best foot forward and always remain true to himself: “You wanna leave marks and footprints on this earth of your work to inspire others. I do what I do because it makes me proud and I’m working towards serving my purpose”. Back in 2021, J. Lock released his debut EP “Typa SZN”, featuring his stand-out track “City Life” in which he announces his arrival in the game and let it be known that he’s here now. In 2022, J. Lock would release “On Deck”, a hard-hitting and high-energy street anthem in which he raps about the grind and the hustle. This record serves as J. Lock’s stamp that he’s up now, and has yet to let anything stand in his way.

Read MoreR. City
Combining hip-hop, pop, and Caribbean flavors, brothers Theron and Timothy have written hits for Akon, Usher, Sean Kingston, the Pussycat Dolls, Ashlee Simpson, and many others while using the name Rock City, eventually shortened to R. City. Born in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, the brothers decided after high school that they were going to try to make it in the music business. A move to America was necessary so they came to the States via Atlanta before settling in Miami. There they began writing for Akon, who quickly signed the brothers to his Kon Live label. After their song ‘The Rain’ landed on Akon’s hit album Konvicted, songwriting for others kept them away from their own music. It wasn’t until 2008 that Rock City released the infectious ‘Losing It’ single, along with the mixtape Put the F*cking Album Out. The album in question was Wake the Neighbors, which Kon Live promised for later that same year. The label never delivered, and eventually the album was shelved, while the duo continued releasing mixtapes (issuing no less than eight volumes of PtFAO).
Rock City finally left Kon Live in 2011 and started their own label, Rebelution Records, briefly changing their name to Planet VI for a few years before settling on R. City. Despite all the hassles releasing their own music, they had no trouble scoring hits for other artists, penning enormously successful singles for Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, and contributing to Grammy-nominated albums by Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea, and Jennifer Hudson, among others. Dr. Luke signed R. City to his Kemosabe Records, and in 2015 the duo released #WhatDreamsAreMadeOf, an album about the struggles involved with their upbringing in the Virgin Islands. The album’s first single, ‘Locked Away,’ featured Adam Levine and was a Billboard Hot 100-charting hit.
Tory Lanez
A near reverential dedication to truth is the foundation Tory Lanez’ artistic identity. Unabashedly introspective and keenly observant of the outside world in equal measure, the rapper born Daystar Peterson in Toronto, Canada, spent his early adolescence honing the sure-footed, narrative-led lyrics that have become synonymous with his singular style of rap. Lanez sophomore studio album, Memories Don’t Die, comes as a follow up to his 2016 debut, I Told You, which featured #1, Double Platinum singles, “Say It” and the Grammy nominated “LUV.” The sprawling musical opus, which highlights moments in the 25-year-old’s history spanning from early childhood through 2017, is held together by the rapper’s innate talent for uniting genres into new, hybrid soundscapes. Memories Don’t Die is defined by a revisitation of traditional hip-hop and R&B conventions; Lanez embraces the world of knocking 808s and the growl and punch of unembellished instrumentals alongside the polished gloss of his trademark croon. The album touts features from Future, Wiz Khalifa, NAV and more. In short, memories truly have not died for the Grammy award nominee—he is able to recall his own life story with remarkable clarity and translate its impact on his present with pragmatism, verity and true emotion. We are seeing Tory Lanez for what he is—a young man growing, progressing and learning in an ever-changing world that can be capricious and cruel, but also beautiful and filled with warmth. Jacquees
When Jacquees proclaimed himself ‘King of R&B…of his generation,’ he did so with the accolades and achievements to back up such a bold, brave, and big claim. Within 6 years since the release of his breakout mix-tape Round of Applause, the Atlanta singer quietly ascended to the genre’s vacant throne over the course of a banner 2018 & 2019. During that time, his critically acclaimed full-length debut for Cash Money Records, 4275, earned a platinum smash with “B.E.D.”—which received a nomination for “R&B Song of the Year” at the iHeartRadio Music Awards—as the follow-up single “You” went gold. The latter served as a staple from the Documentary Soundtrack for Before Anythang and Lost At Sea II—his collaborative project with Birdman.
As he took over Urban Radio, he maintained a prolific recording pace, paving the way for the arrival of his 2019 sophomore offering, King Of R&B. “The first round was 4275 as my debut, and I took it like a fight, because I call myself ‘King of R&B’,” he explains. “Everybody took it the wrong way—or however they want to take it. Just like a boxer, anybody in a fight, or in any other type of competition, there are rounds, so I’m proving a point. This is King Of R&B for me. I’m up against a fight, because there are a lot of doubters. There are a lot of people who believe in me, but there are a lot of people who don’t.” King Of R&B sees Jacquees land a knockout for R&B and once again affirm his position as “King of R&B…of his generation.

Rylo Rodriguez
Emerging from Mobile, Alabama, rapper Rylo Rodriguez first gained attention for his inventive sample flipping, incorporating elements from mellow R&B tracks, guitar loops, and even a Mariah Carey song for the instrumentals of his earliest material. Affiliations with rappers like NoCap and Lil Baby took Rodriguez’s music to an expanded audience, and he signed on with Lil Baby’s Four Pockets Full label for the release of his 2020 debut studio album, G.I.H.F. Rodriguez was born Ryan Adams in 1993 and grew up in a housing project in Mobile, being cared for by his grandfather. The environment of the projects would have an impact on his music early on, with lyrics centering around the struggles and hustles of his surroundings. Along with intense lyrics about personal struggles, Rodriguez’s earliest tracks got attention for their smart beat flipping. 2019’s Project Baby used the instrumental from Mariah Carey’s tender ballad Always Be My Baby as the backdrop for stories about life in the hood, and its video was viewed over ten million times in its first year. Some of Rodriguez’s other early songs used samples from Tamia and Leon Bridges. In 2019, he released Rogerville, a collaborative mixtape made with fellow Alabama rapper NoCap, and also had several songs featuring appearances by Lil Baby, who was enjoying massive mainstream success at the time. These connections brought Rodriguez to more listeners, and in November 2020 he released his debut album, G.I.H.F. (short for “Goat in Human Form”). The set featured cameos from Lil Baby, Yo Gotti, Jackboy, and others and climbed into the Top 50 of the Billboard charts.

Detroit rapper 42 Dugg found his calling during an especially dark time in jail. While in solitary confinement, he began writing rhymes to keep his grip on sanity, and once free, was inspired to pursue music full-time. Within a few years, he signed with Yo Gotti’s CMG label and brought his ruthless street style to a series of mixtapes including 2019’s Young and Turnt and 2021’s Free Dem Boyz. In 2022 he teamed up with Yo Gotti roster-mate EST Gee on the album Last Ones Left. He also appeared on the high-profile CMG compilation Gangsta Art and landed a one-off hit, “U-Digg,” with Lil Baby and Veeze. In 2024, he released his first official full-length album, 4eva Us Neva Them. A native of Detroit’s often-dangerous East Side, 42 Dugg found himself in trouble with the law early on in life. By age 15 he was serving a six-year jail sentence. He began rapping while incarcerated and took it more seriously when he was let out, releasing his first song, “Mama I’m Sorry,” in January 2018. From there, the rapper quickly ascended, self-releasing several projects like the 11241 Wayburn mixtape. He collaborated with other Detroit rappers like Babyface Ray and the 42 Twinz on his early material, and soon caught the attention of national stars. Strong early singles like “The Streets” led to Yo Gotti signing 42 Dugg to his Collective Music Group label. A joint agreement allowed him to sign on with Lil Baby’s label 4PF as well. Several singles surfaced before the release of 2019’s Young and Turnt. The mixtape featured guest verses from fellow Detroit artist Tee Grizzley as well as known names like Blac Youngsta and Peewee Longway. Young & Turnt 2, an entirely freestyled mixtape, appeared in 2020 and debuted at number 70 on the Billboard 200.
Collaborations with Marshmello (“Baggin'”) and LBS Kee’vin (“Shining”) followed, and in 2021 42 Dugg returned with his fourth mixtape, Free Dem Boyz, which featured Roddy Ricch on the hit “4 Da Gang.” In April 2022, he collaborated with Kentucky rapper EST Gee on the Last Ones Left mixtape, which yielded a hit in “Thump Shit.” Two months later, he teamed up with Lil Baby and Veeze on “U-Digg,” which appeared on multiple charts and reached number 52 on the Billboard 100. He was also featured heavily on the CMG label compilation Gangsta Art, which peaked at number 11 on the Billboard 200 and included the hit “Steppers.” A collaboration with Babyface Ray, “Ron Artest,” arrived in February 2023. Several months later, the rapper was sentenced to a year in prison for failure to report for a previous 2022 sentence. Released in October 2023, 42 Dugg returned to the studio and in July 2024 delivered his full-length debut album, 4eva Us Neva Them, which showcased guest spots by Sexyy Red, Blac Youngsta, Lil Baby, Young Geezy, and EST Gee, the latter of whom was featured on the single “Since When.”
