Hayes Warner
Named one of People’s Emerging Artists to Watch, Hayes Warner has entered an exciting new era of her career in 2024. Powered by surging confidence and a “no-compromises” approach to her pop-punk art, the New York singer-songwriter released her first explosive single of the year, “Just A Girl” with Billy B and Kevin Rudolf, which soared to #34 on the Top 40 chart following its release. Most recently, Hayes released her single “Predator” about the complexities of femininity – the viral single recently hit #23 on Spyder Harrison’s SiriusXM Hits 1 Weekly Top 30 Countdown accompanied by a music video premiere exclusively on US Weekly.
As a graduate of Northwestern University’s musical theater program, Warner caught the attention of music executive Daniel Glass and landed a publishing deal with his company, Glassnote Records. Her work includes composing music for a variety of television clients, including Netflix, Disney, Nickelodeon, Paramount, and Fox.
Hayes is set to sustain this growing momentum with the release of her debut EP this Spring, along with her exciting performances at Lollapalooza and current tour in support of Crash Adams. She will also be releasing her debut EP in Spring 2025 through Glassnote Records.

Subsequently, d4vd delighted fans with more hit singles before dropping his debut EP, Petals to Thorns, in May 2023, gaining recognition by charting on the Billboard 200. By September 2023, he followed up with his second EP, The Lost Petals. After sending their home boy Lil Scrappy up the charts, the Atlanta-based label/management team Crunk Incorporated turned to the six-member Crime Mob for their next big hit. The rowdy party crunk of the group (rappers Diamond, Killa C, Cyco Blac, Princess, Jock aka M.I.G., and Lil Jay) caught on quick, and the single ‘Knuck If You Buck’ found success on urban radio during the summer of 2004. Their self-titled debut hit the shelves in August that year and went to number five on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. In late 2006 the group returned with ‘Rock Yo Hips,’ a single that went Top 10 R&B/Hip-Hop and crossed into the Top 40 of the Hot 100. It set the stage for their second album, Hated on Mostly, which was released the following year after considerable delay. Its release was complicated by interpersonal upheaval. The group went quiet, but five years later, all members with the exception of Princess performed together in Atlanta. ~ David Jeffries, Rovi

A Harlem rapper with an innovative and risky approach to his craft, A$AP Ferg is a founding member of A$AP Mob and one of the crew’s breakout stars. He was initially the group’s main clothing designer, but after teaming with Mob member A$AP Rocky, he started making interesting production choices and unusual vocal delivery as the defining factors of his solo releases. Ferg channeled his uniqueness into success, hitting the Top Ten charts with proper studio albums Trap Lord (2013) and Always Strive and Prosper (2016), and making a decent chart showing with mixtapes like 2020’s Floor Seats II. In the years that followed, he steadily released new singles while leading up to the release of his next studio album AF5*, slated for possible release sometime in 2024. A$AP Ferg and A$AP Rocky originally planned to be the crew’s Mobb Deep-like duo, but they found more success as solo artists, beginning with Rocky and his series of 2012 mixtapes. Ferg’s big break came that same year when his track ‘Work’ landed as the key cut on A$AP Mob’s Lords Never Worry mixtape. The announcement that A$AP Ferg had signed with RCA came in early 2013 and was followed by an all-star remix of ‘Work,’ with Trinidad James, French Montana, and ScHoolboy Q added to the cut. Ferg’s ‘Persian Wine’ single landed that same year, along with his solo album Trap Lord. His Ferg Forever mixtape appeared in 2014 and spawned the 2015 hit ‘Dope Walk.’ A year later, his track ‘New Level’ featuring Future, arrived along with his sophomore album, Always Strive and Prosper, which included guest shots from Missy Elliott, Chuck D, Skrillex, and Lil Uzi Vert. In 2017, Ferg teamed up with Remy Ma for the hard-hitting single ‘East Coast.’ This was followed by the release of his second mixtape, Still Striving, later that summer. The effort included a remix of ‘East Coast,’ which featured Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg, and Rick Ross, and the single ‘Plain Jane,’ his highest-charting solo track to date. Ferg’s summer remained busy with the arrival of A$AP Mob’s Cozy Tapes, Vol. 2, which landed at number six on the Billboard 200. In 2018, Ferg issued a series of collaborative singles that included ‘Kristi’ with Denzel Curry, IDK, and NickNack, and ‘Moon River’ with actress Elle Fanning. A single, ‘Pups,’ featuring A$AP Rocky, arrived in 2019. The latter track appeared on the EP Floor Seats, which also featured guests MadeinTYO, Rico Nasty, Ty Dolla $ign, and more. Upon release, the set debuted at number 50 on the Billboard 200. 2020 first brought a handful of singles including ‘Value’ and the Nicki Minaj and MadeinTYO collaboration ‘Move Ya Hips.’ In September, these tracks and more were collected on the mixtape Floor Seats II. The project also included guest features from Diddy, Lil Wayne, Tyga, and Marilyn Manson, and spent time in the lower reaches of the Billboard 200. Over the next several years, Ferg released new tracks like 2021’s Pharrell Williams collaboration ‘Green Juice’ and 2024’s ‘Off White Rozay,’ as well as appearing on various tracks with other artists.

Emerging from California’s Bay Area, rapper and producer Sage the Gemini (born Dominic Wynn Woods) has scored viral hits with several catchy, lighthearted party singles, but a deeper dive into his catalog reveals him to be a dexterous rapper with a hardened, determined flow. He broke through with the 2013 U.S. Top 40 hit ‘Gas Pedal,’ featuring fellow HBK Gang member Iamsu!, and the track landed on his 2014 debut full-length, Remember Me. 2016’s candy-themed ‘Now and Later’ became an even bigger international hit after it was featured in promotion as a Snapchat filter. Sage furthered his pop appeal through collaborations with Nick Jonas, Flo Rida, and Chris Brown (including 2021’s ‘Baby’). The San Francisco native was born in 1992, and he began making rap songs as a teenager. He first received notice for ‘You Should Know,’ a track he uploaded to his MySpace page in 2008. He soon joined the HBK Gang along with his close friend Iamsu!. Sage’s breakthrough came with ‘Gas Pedal,’ which combined Sage’s restrained delivery with an infectious Ying Yang Twins hyphy-type hook. The audio was uploaded to video-sharing sites in 2012; even without the video, ‘Gas Pedal’ ended the year with over three million views online, and an official video landed in 2013. Another Billboard-charting track, ‘Red Nose,’ appeared the same year, and both were included on the Gas Pedal EP. Sage’s debut album, Remember Me, followed in 2014 with guest shots from Iamsu!, Kool John, and others. He followed with a series of singles, including ‘Guantanamera’ with Trey Songz and ‘Good Thing’ with Nick Jonas. His 2016 hit single ‘Now and Later’ reached the Top 20 in the U.K., went gold in the U.S., and was certified platinum in Canada and Australia. The single landed on his 2017 mixtape Morse Code. In 2018, Sage issued a string of singles including ‘Pull Over’ with Trina, ‘No Ex’s’ with 03 Greedo, and ‘Buss It’ with Chris Brown. He appeared on Brown’s 2019 album Indigo, and was featured on Flo Rida’s single ‘Snack,’ along with Bay Area legend E-40. Sage collaborated with Brown once again on 2021’s ‘Baby,’ then offered up the solo track ‘Cereal Milk.’ Sage’s first song of 2022 was ‘Numero Uno.’ ~ David Jeffries & Paul Simpson

In just a few short years, Bronx-bred rapper Lil Tjay went from prison to the top of the charts as one of the prominent faces of the New York drill scene. After building an audience in the late 2010s with a pair of well-received EPs, he integrated R&B elements into his style, and became a mainstay on the Billboard charts with albums like 2021’s Destined 2 Win. While in prison on robbery charges, Tjay (born Tione Jayden Merritt) found the motivation to get through his sentence by writing lyrics. Upon his release in 2017, Tjay, still just a teenager, began recording his songs and posting them online. Almost overnight, several tracks took off and were streamed in the millions, gaining the rapper massive attention for his often-downcast songs that combined vocal hooks and rhymes about hardship written while he was in jail. ‘Resume’ was his first completely solo song and it went viral quickly, ultimately being streamed over 14 million times in a little over a year. He followed with multiple one-off tracks over the course of 2018, with many of them selling/streaming by the millions. Self-released tracks like ‘Brothers,’ ‘Goat,’ and ‘Leaked’ all gained serious traction and quickly drew the attention of major labels hoping to sign the rapper. Tjay inked a deal with Columbia, which released the five-song EP No Comparison at the tail-end of 2018. A second EP, F.N, arrived in August 2019 and included the singles ‘Ruthless’ featuring Jay Critch and ‘Laneswitch.’ His first to chart on the Billboard 200, the short set was quickly followed a few months later by Tjay’s official studio debut, True 2 Myself. Certified gold and peaking in the Top Five on the main album chart, True included his aforementioned hit singles as well as the previously unreleased ‘Hold On.’ In May 2020, riding the success of his debut LP, Tjay issued his third EP, State of Emergency. A Top 40 hit, the short-player featured ‘Zoo York’ with Fivio Foreign and the late Pop Smoke. Later that year, he delivered the R&B-leaning single ‘None of Your Love.’ In 2021, he released the single ‘Calling My Phone,’ a slow-burning melodic trap song made in collaboration with 6LACK; it became Lil Tjay’s highest-charting track up to that point, debuting at the number three spot on the Billboard charts. Second studio full-length Destined 2 Win followed shortly thereafter, expanding his drill beginnings to explore various approaches to songwriting. The album featured contributions from Polo G, Offset, Saweetie, and others and debuted at number five on the Top 100 albums chart. Later that year, Tjay teamed up fellow New York rappers Fivio Foreign and Kay Flock on the single ‘Not in the Mood.’ ~ Fred Thomas
