J. Lock

Born in Mississippi and now Atlanta-based, rapper J. Lock has been turning heads with his melodic flow. Utilizing his extraordinary penmanship and heart-capturing vocal riffs to tell his story the best way he knows how to; through the power of Music.

Growing up, J. Lock was a quiet person. At the age of 14, he would begin to use music as an outlet and a form of expression. By doing so, music allowed him to be as free as he wanted to be. Being inspired by many of the greats such as Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and J. Cole, J. Lock made it his initiative to put his best foot forward and always remain true to himself: “You wanna leave marks and footprints on this earth of your work to inspire others. I do what I do because it makes me proud and I’m working towards serving my purpose”.

Back in 2021, J. Lock released his debut EP "Typa SZN", featuring his stand-out track “City Life” in which he announces his arrival in the game and let it be known that he’s here now. In 2022, J. Lock would release “On Deck”, a hard-hitting and high-energy street anthem in which he raps about the grind and the hustle. This record serves as J. Lock’s stamp that he’s up now, and has yet to let anything stand in his way.
