The festival scene is buzzing with the latest lineup news for the 2025 Welcome to Rockville event, a premier rock festival to be held in Daytona Beach, Florida from May 15-18. The festival recently stirred headlines with its announcement that Miss May I will be replacing As I Lay Dying. This switch has garnered attention due to the ongoing struggles within As I Lay Dying, primarily surrounding their frontman, Tim Lambesis, and the band's internal issues that have been extensively covered in music news.

The group, a renowned figure in the metalcore scene, saw a dramatic lineup change when all members, bar Lambesis, departed the band in late 2024. This exodus began with the departure of bassist/vocalist Ryan Neff and was accelerated by various controversies surrounding Lambesis, including personal disputes with his ex-wife and leaked footage suggesting troubling behavior. The band's prominent collapse left Tim Lambesis the lone member, attempting to navigate the fallout amid a backdrop of personal and public scandals, including a past criminal conviction. These issues have raised significant ethical concerns within the band's fabric, contributing to their removal from the Welcome to Rockville lineup.

Miss May I, the Indiana-based metalcore act, known for their energetic live performances and introspective lyrics, will take the stage on May 16th. This change in the billing is notable not only because it fills a vacant slot but also because of the history between the two bands, given Ryan Neff had previously been a part of both acts. Miss May I’s addition to the lineup has been met with enthusiasm from fans, eager to see the band perform at one of North America's largest rock festivals.
