Head Games Reissue Timed to Tour

Midway through the fall run, Foreigner will put out a newly remastered and expanded edition of its 1979 record ‘Head Games.’ The reissue carries an October 30 release date, placing it right alongside the California and Nevada leg of the tour.

Luis Maldonado Leads Foreigner Into Its Next Chapter

Foreigner is now fronted by Luis Maldonado, who took over lead vocal duties after Kelly Hansen exited the band in May 2025. Maldonado told The Spokesman-Review that keeping the group intact was his priority: “These guys are really my brothers, and so for me, my whole motivation was to keep this band together. I just couldn’t see it dispersing.”

Maldonado’s history with Foreigner goes back to 2021, when he joined as a multi-instrumentalist to fill the spot left open by departing member Thom Gimbel. He began handling lead vocals roughly four years later, stepping in during fill-in dates on a Latin American tour before Hansen’s departure made the shift permanent.

Mick Jones, the sole original member still connected to the band, has stopped touring following a Parkinson’s diagnosis. Maldonado has said Jones remains closely tied to Foreigner’s direction, referring to it as “Mick’s band.”

Foreigner’s catalog has continued to expand around its current lineup. Its most recent live release, ‘In the Eye of the Storm,’ features vocal performances from Lou Gramm, Hansen and Maldonado spanning the band’s different eras, and the group has also put out Spanish-language recordings of “Urgent” and “I Want to Know What Love Is.”
