Just one day after revealing the departure of their long-time drummer, Frank Ferrer, Guns ‘N' Roses have unveiled Isaac Carpenter as his successor behind the drum kit. Ferrer, who had been an integral part of Guns N’ Roses since 2006, contributed significantly to the band's live performances and recordings. Notably, he played on the Chinese Democracy album and was part of the reunion tours featuring original members Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan.

Carpenter is a seasoned musician with a versatile background in alternative, hard rock, and more. He hails from Washington's Tri-Cities and first made his mark in the music industry by co-founding Loudermilk in 1995. His career has since expanded, showcasing his dynamic drumming skills with artists like Duff McKagan’s Loaded, Awolnation, Adam Lambert, and A Perfect Circle, among others. Carpenter's reputation for blending powerful rhythms with technical prowess makes him a fitting addition to Guns N' Roses as they prepare for their upcoming tour.

Carpenter's entry into the band comes at a time when they are poised to embark on their “Because What You Want & What You Get Are Two Completely Different Things” tour, which will traverse South Korea, the Middle East, and Europe from May to July 2025. This major tour will see Guns N’ Roses headlining stadiums and festivals, continuing their legacy of high-energy performances that have captivated audiences worldwide for decades.

The amicable departure of Frank Ferrer marked the end of a notable era in Guns N' Roses' storied history. Ferrer, the longest-serving drummer in the band’s timeline, joined during a defining period when the group was transitioning through different musical styles. Despite stepping down, he leaves behind a legacy of creative contributions and rhythmic solidity that will be remembered as a central part of the band's journey during his 19-year tenure.

Fans are eagerly anticipating this new chapter for Guns N' Roses, expecting that Isaac Carpenter will infuse fresh energy into the band’s live performances. His extensive background and experience in the music industry are expected to complement the artistry of Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan, creating a harmonious blend that stays true to the band’s roots while exploring new musical territories. The inclusion of Carpenter is a testament to the band’s openness to evolve while respecting its rich heritage and commitment to delivering unparalleled rock performances to audiences worldwide.
