Lorde is set to captivate her global fan base once again with an extensive international tour, aptly named the Ultrasound World Tour, coinciding with the release of her highly anticipated album, Virgin. This tour announcement comes on the heels of the lead single “What Was That,” which has set the stage for the musical direction of the album, described by Lorde as embodying her femininity in its raw and primal essence. The upcoming Virgin will be unveiled on June 27, and it marks a continuation of her journey in blending introspective songwriting with powerful musical compositions.

The Ultrasound World Tour is enormous in scale, spanning continents and some of the most prestigious venues. Kicking off in North America, the tour will visit iconic locations such as Madison Square Garden in New York City, the TD Garden in Boston, and the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado. In Europe, the tour will touch down in legendary arenas like the O2 Arena in London and the AO Arena in Manchester, as well as lesser-explored venues, offering fans across the globe a chance to experience Lorde's music live. Dedicated fans can participate in pre-sale opportunities beginning May 14, with general ticket sales starting on May 16.

In an email to her newsletter subscribers, Lorde expressed excitement about this tour being a unique collaboration with her audience, emphasizing the shared experience of creating music in each venue. She also hinted at a stripped-down and intimate atmosphere that the Ultrasound tour intends to capture, evolving from her previous performances by removing unnecessary layers to make room for a more profound musical connection.

Joining Lorde on various dates of the tour will be an impressive roster of supporting acts including Blood Orange, The Japanese House, Nilüfer Yanya, Chanel Beads, Empress Of, and more. Each supporting act has been carefully chosen to complement and enhance the overall concert experience, promising a diverse and rich musical journey for attendees. The inclusion of these artists not only increases the excitement surrounding the tour but also showcases Lorde’s collaborative spirit and her desire to share the stage with fellow talented musicians.

The tour is both a celebration of Lorde's evolution as an artist and a chance to explore intimate musical introspection with her fans. With a career spanning over a decade, she continues to innovate and push boundaries, cementing her position as one of the modern era’s most influential pop artists. In this new phase of her career, Lorde's aim appears to be an honest and profound musical expression that connects deeply with her audience.

As Lorde prepares to launch the Virgin album, her fans eagerly await not only the new music but also the opportunity to experience it live. The combination of new songs, iconic venues, and exceptional support acts ensure that the Ultrasound World Tour is set to be a significant milestone in her career. Each performance promises a unique and emotional set of experiences as Lorde and her fans come together in a creative crescendo that merges her studio artistry with live spontaneity.

With general admission tickets going on sale imminently, demand is expected to be high as devotees and casual listeners alike prepare to witness Lorde’s musical renaissance. Her Virgin era promises to be a defining one, highlighted by a tour that underscores her status as a compelling musical force capable of impacting fans from all walks of life.
