Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath’s Final Concert Film Set for October Theatrical Release

“Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back to the Beginning,” the concert film chronicling Ozzy Osbourne’s last performance and the final reunion of Black Sabbath’s original lineup, will open in theaters around the world on October 28, 2026. Tickets go on sale September 24 at 7AM PT / 10AM ET / 3PM BST / 4PM CEST through the Back to the Beginning website.

The film documents the concert held at Villa Park stadium in Birmingham, England on July 5, 2025, which brought Ozzy Osbourne together with fellow founding Black Sabbath members Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward for the first time in roughly two decades. Trafalgar Releasing is handling worldwide distribution, with the movie produced by Mercury Studios.

What Happens in the Back to the Beginning Concert Film

The movie is billed in a press release as “a love letter to Ozzy and the pioneering sound of Black Sabbath.” The original concert has been described as the highest-grossing charity concert ever staged, raising roughly £11 million for charitable causes.

Jason Momoa hosted the event, while Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine acted as musical director, curating a lineup that included Guns N’ Roses, Korn, Tool, Slayer, Pantera, Metallica, Alice in Chains, Gojira, Anthrax, Halestorm, Lamb of God, Mastodon, Rival Sons, and Steven Tyler of Aerosmith. Additional guest musicians joined the bill for special all-star performance segments throughout the night.

Sharon Osbourne has said the event came together because she asked her husband what would bring him happiness. “Back to the Beginning came about because I asked Ozzy what would really make him happy,” she said. “And he said the only thing that would make him happy was if he could perform again and say goodbye to his fans. That’s all he wanted to do. He wanted to say goodbye and thank you.”
