Universal Studios has announced a new haunted attraction dedicated to Ozzy Osbourne, titled “Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness,” as part of this year’s Halloween Horror Nights lineup. The experience opens August 28 in Orlando, Florida, and follows on September 3 at the Hollywood, California park.

The attraction draws its imagery and set pieces from Osbourne’s full run of solo studio albums, thirteen records in total, including Blizzard of Ozz, Diary of a Madman, Bark at the Moon, No More Tears, and Ordinary Man. Guests moving through the haunted house will encounter scenes built around visuals tied to that catalog.

  • Orlando opening: August 28
  • Hollywood opening: September 3
  • Albums represented: all 13 of Ozzy Osbourne’s solo releases
  • Companion merchandise: a limited edition clothing and collectibles line tied to the attraction

What Sharon and Jack Osbourne Said About the Haunted House

Sharon and Jack Osbourne released a joint statement addressing the project. “Ozzy never stopped pushing boundaries, and he loved anything that gave fans a new way to experience his music and the worlds he created,” they said. “Halloween Horror Nights has done an incredible job bringing that spirit to life. Walking through these haunted houses, you’ll recognize so many moments inspired by his music and imagination. It’s a wonderful tribute to Ozzy, and we hope fans have as much fun experiencing it as he would have had seeing it come together.”

Halloween Horror Nights Producer on Honoring Ozzy Osbourne’s Legacy

John Murdy, executive producer of Halloween Horror Nights, framed the attraction as a tribute to Osbourne’s influence beyond music. “Ozzy Osbourne didn’t just help define heavy metal, he created a cultural phenomenon that has influenced generations of music, art and horror,” Murdy said. He added that the haunted house was built to celebrate Osbourne’s solo career, noting that “guests will journey through the dark, surreal worlds that fueled his music” and that it cements Osbourne’s identity as “the one and only Prince Of Darkness.”

Murdy also noted that Universal had worked with Osbourne before this project came together, calling the new attraction a chance to honor that history alongside his solo discography.

Part of a Larger Series of Ozzy Osbourne Tribute Projects

The haunted house is one of several tribute efforts that Sharon Osbourne has teased since Ozzy Osbourne’s death. The announcement arrived the week after the one-year anniversary of his passing, which was marked with tribute posts from his former Black Sabbath bandmates. It also follows separate news of an Ozzy Osbourne AI-driven digital avatar that remains in development.
