Robert Plant’s Saving Grace Set October 9 Digital Release for ‘All That Glitters…’ EP

Robert Plant’s band Saving Grace has released an official video for the song “Two Coats,” part of a push toward the October 9 digital arrival of their EP “Saving Grace: All That Glitters…” on Nonesuch Records. The four-song collection had previously been available exclusively on vinyl.

• “Saving Grace: All That Glitters…” first appeared as a vinyl release for Record Store Day on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
• The EP’s four tracks are “The Blackest Crow,” “Two Coats,” Gillian Welch’s “Orphan Girl,” and Bert Jansch’s “Poison.”
• Saving Grace lineup: Robert Plant, Suzi Dian (vocals), Oli Jefferson (drums), Tony Kelsey (guitar), Matt Worley (banjo, strings), and Barney Morse-Brown (cello).
• Plant is set to receive the Americana Music Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award on September 16 at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
• The “Up The Sharp End” U.S. tour with Saving Grace, Suzi Dian, and special guest Rosie Flores runs September 18 through October 15, 2026.

What Robert Plant Says About the Songs on ‘All That Glitters…’

Plant said the tracks compiled on the EP are songs the band has long featured in its live shows, now finally captured in the studio. He called “Two Coats” “a great Ralph Stanley song” that he has performed regularly with Saving Grace since 2019.

He also spoke about reshaping Bert Jansch’s “Poison,” saying the band pushed the arrangement toward a late-1980s feel, something he described as leaning “happy go lucky” while steering clear of an overly American sound.

How Saving Grace Came Together

Saving Grace formed at Robert Plant’s home in the Welsh borderlands in 2019, gathering musicians united by a common love of blues, folk, gospel, and country traditions. The group briefly served as an opening act for Fairport Convention on a small run of dates before the pandemic put further plans on hold.

The band’s self-titled debut album arrived in September 2025 via Nonesuch Records, following Plant’s earlier releases for the label, “Lullaby And… The Ceaseless Roar” in 2014 and “Carry Fire” in 2017. That full-length record was recorded between April 2019 and January 2025 across sessions in the Cotswolds and on the Welsh Borders.
