Rush Announces Residency at Sphere Las Vegas for 2027
Rush co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson have confirmed a five-show residency at Sphere in Las Vegas called “Elevate From the Norm,” scheduled for May 21, 23, 26, 28 and 30, 2027. The run extends the band’s ongoing “Fifty Something” reunion tour and marks Rush’s first engagement at the Las Vegas venue.
- Residency name: “Elevate From the Norm”
- Venue: Sphere, Las Vegas, Nevada
- Dates: May 21, 23, 26, 28 and 30, 2027
- Lineup: Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, Anika Nilles and Loren Gold
What Will Rush Play at the Sphere Residency?
Each night of the residency is planned to mix fan-favorite songs with full performances of two landmark Rush albums, 2112 and Moving Pictures. Geddy Lee said in a statement that the Sphere shows would resemble the expanded sets the band has previously brought to select “one-off” tour cities, which paired complete album run-throughs with additional catalogue selections.
Lee said the residency is also meant to honor Rush’s music and legacy along with the memory of drummer and lyricist Neil Peart, who died in January 2020 at age 67 following a three-year fight with glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer.
In his statement announcing the shows, Lee recalled that when he first learned about Sphere, he felt it was “a shame” Rush was no longer touring because the venue seemed “tailor made for the kind of visual attitude with which we have always designed our shows.” He added that the band is “presently working hard to expand our touring concepts and concoct some new madness to suit this incredible venue.”

VIP and Travel Packages With Superfan
Superfan, working with Fontainebleau Las Vegas, will act for the first time as the official VIP and travel partner for a Rush residency. Three tiers of VIP packages are planned, with some offering the chance to meet Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, band-signed merchandise, entry to the Xanadu VIP Lounge, and access to a dedicated Rush pop-up shop at Fontainebleau.
Separate travel packages are set to bundle Fontainebleau lodging with concert tickets, VIP add-ons, merchandise and shuttle transportation for fans attending any of the five residency dates.
How the Sphere Dates Fit Into Rush’s ‘Fifty Something’ Tour
The Sphere residency builds on Rush’s “Fifty Something” reunion tour, which began June 7, 2026, in Los Angeles as the band’s first tour in more than a decade and its first since Peart’s death in 2020. Lee and Lifeson have been performing alongside German drummer Anika Nilles and keyboardist Loren Gold throughout the tour and are set to keep that lineup for the Sphere shows.
The “Fifty Something” tour has reportedly sold more than one million tickets across stops in Canada, the United States, Mexico, South America, Europe and the United Kingdom. An international leg of the tour covering South America, the UK and Europe is scheduled to wrap up April 10, 2027, in Helsinki, roughly six weeks ahead of the Sphere residency’s opening night.
Radio host Eddie Trunk had speculated in July that a possible Rush Sphere engagement might run to as many as 16 to 18 shows, but the band’s official announcement confirmed a five-date residency.
