What Slash and Myles Kennedy Have Said About the New Music
Slash called the new record “a really fun, kind of spontaneous rock ‘n’ roll record. It’s very straightforward and down-to-earth and raw.” He said the title track took shape fast, emerging from a riff he brought to a pre-production rehearsal that the full band quickly built into a finished song.
Myles Kennedy said of writing the vocal melody for “Flying Blind,” “I really enjoyed putting a melody to this song… The lyric is about how sometimes people try to take shortcuts and try to find the easy way to achieve happiness or enlightenment.” He also credited Slash as “an incredible riff writer.”
Slash reflected on the 15 years he’s now spent working with Kennedy and The Conspirators, saying, “When we started, we didn’t have anything. We weren’t setting out to conquer the world. It was just for the pure pleasure of it… As long as there’s electricity, we’ll keep plugging in.”
Slash’s Recent Schedule Before the 2027 Tour
This upcoming trek marks Slash’s first dedicated tour with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators since 2024. In the time since, he has been touring with Guns N’ Roses alongside Axl Rose and Duff McKagan, including dates earlier this year across North America, South America and Australia.
