St. Vincent, the acclaimed indie rock artist also known as Annie Clark, has unveiled a new chapter in her prolific career. She has just released a new single titled “DOA,” crafted specifically for the A24 film Death of a Unicorn, and announced an extension to her tour with additional U.S. dates. This marks a significant moment for fans, as the new composition comes almost a year after her Grammy-winning album, All Born Screaming. The track features an alluring mix of '80s-inspired synths and a futuristic aura, embodying the distinctive sound that has secured her position as a unique force in the music industry.

“DOA” comes at a time of increased creative output for St. Vincent, perfectly timed with the theatrical release of Death of a Unicorn. The song seamlessly integrates with the film's intriguing narrative, which centers on a whimsical tale where a father and daughter hit a unicorn while driving to a weekend retreat. Directed by Alex Scharfman, the film stars a notable cast including Paul Rudd, Jenna Ortega, Will Poulter, Téa Leoni, and Richard E. Grant. This pairing of St. Vincent’s music with the film serves not just to enhance the cinematic experience but also to broaden the scope of her artistry.

Aside from her contributions to the big screen, St. Vincent is also managing a packed touring schedule. Initially set to promote her latest album, the tour now includes recently added shows in key U.S. cities like Portland, Maine; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Cleveland, Ohio. This tour is a testament to her dynamic presence and ongoing dedication to performing live for her audience. Fans are eager to catch her on stage, as her live performances are known for their captivating blend of music and visual aesthetics, making them an immersive experience.

The tour opens in Dallas, Texas, before traversing across major cities and concluding at renowned venues throughout North America and beyond. Alongside her headline performances, she will share the stage with various artists, offering a diverse musical lineup that promises to appeal to a wide range of concertgoers. Each performance is not just a showcase of St. Vincent's broad repertoire but also an opportunity to witness her evolution as a musical storyteller and performer.
