Twisted Sister Debuts Sebastian Bach as Frontman at Surprise Bent Brother Show

Twisted Sister played its first concert with former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach on lead vocals on Friday, August 28, 2026, at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey. The band performed under Bent Brother, the alter ego it has previously used for low-key gigs, before the show was confirmed as the official debut of its new touring lineup.

New Twisted Sister Lineup With Sebastian Bach

The refreshed lineup pairs Bach with longtime guitarists Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda, bassist Russell Pzütto and drummer Joey Cassata. The Sayreville set drew from across Twisted Sister’s catalog, running through songs such as “Under the Blade,” “Burn in Hell,” “The Kids Are Back” and “I Wanna Rock” before closing on “We’re Not Gonna Take It.”

Guitarist Jay Jay French said of Bach stepping into the frontman role, “The question was not whether Sebastian could do this; I knew that he could. He was phenomenal.” Bach has described his own approach to the material by saying, “When I sing Twisted Sister music, I’m like a steamroller. I’m a beast. I’m out of control.”

Setlist Dedications Honor Dee Snider and Dolly Parton

During the show, the band dedicated “The Price” to Dee Snider. “I Remember You,” one of two Skid Row songs in the set, was dedicated to the recently deceased Dolly Parton and Tim Curry, as well as former Twisted Sister drummer A.J. Pero.

Why Sebastian Bach Replaced Dee Snider

Bach took over as Twisted Sister’s frontman after Dee Snider resigned from the band citing health challenges. Snider’s departure came on his doctor’s orders due to arthritis and bone-on-bone knee problems that made it impossible for him to keep performing his usual physically demanding stage show.

The Starland Ballroom performance doubled as an intimate tune-up ahead of Twisted Sister’s fully announced tour with Bach. It also marked the venue’s first Twisted Sister appearance since a 2015 show that honored the late A.J. Pero.

Twisted Sister’s tour with Bach is set to formally kick off on September 4, 2026, in Alaska, with Rockett Mania, a Poison cover act fronted by Rikki Rockett, providing support. The band is scheduled to play eleven additional shows this fall.
