What Is the History of Warren Haynes’ Christmas Jam?
Christmas Jam traces its roots back to Haynes’ early years playing clubs in Asheville. After running for years, the show went on hiatus in 2018 before Haynes brought it back in 2022, and it has run every year since then with one exception.
That exception came in 2024, when Christmas Jam was called off because of the widespread damage caused by Hurricane Helene. Rather than let the year pass without a benefit effort, Haynes quickly pulled together a separate concert called Soulshine at Madison Square Garden in New York to raise aid for the storm-hit Asheville region.
Who Played the 2025 Christmas Jam?
Christmas Jam came back to Asheville in 2025 with a lineup that included Stone Temple Pilots, Warren Haynes & Friends, MJ Lenderman & The Wind, and Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country. That show also featured a tribute set honoring Phil Lesh.
Warren Haynes’ New Live Album
The Christmas Jam news arrives the same day Haynes released his new live album, “Dreams & Songs: A Symphonic Journey,” on September 18, 2026. The orchestral record was co-produced by Don Was.
