Born to Palestinian immigrants, Khaled Mohamed Khaled’s musical journey began in New Orleans before moving to Orlando at a young age. It was in Orlando where he started honing his DJ skills, supported by his family’s encouragement. Despite facing financial challenges, Khaled’s passion for music led him back to New Orleans and later to Miami, where he worked tirelessly to establish himself in the music scene. Through his determination and networking efforts, Khaled gained recognition in the industry, collaborating with talented artists like Birdman and Lil Wayne. His breakthrough came with the release of his debut album, Listennn: The Album, setting the stage for a series of successful albums that showcased his talent for creating hit tracks with multiple artists. Khaled’s transition to major labels like Koch/E1 and later Epic further elevated his career, with acclaimed albums like Major Key and Grateful solidifying his status as a chart-topping artist with a knack for producing iconic collaborations.
