Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., widely known as T.I. and Tip, is a prominent American rapper hailing from Atlanta, Georgia. Considered a trailblazer in the hip hop subgenre trap music, Harris established himself alongside fellow Atlanta-based rappers Jeezy and Gucci Mane. In 1999, he secured his first major-label record deal with Arista Records’ subsidiary LaFace, unveiling his solo debut ‘I’m Serious’ in 2001. Additionally, Harris founded the southern hip hop group P$C during this period. Following his departure from Arista, Harris joined forces with Atlantic and launched his own label imprint, Grand Hustle Records, in 2002.
Throughout his illustrious career, T.I., a three-time Grammy Award winner, has delivered 11 studio albums, with an impressive seven of them climbing into the top five of the US Billboard 200 chart. Noteworthy singles such as ‘Whatever You Like’ and ‘Live Your Life’ featuring Rihanna have graced the top spots on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, solidifying his status as a chart-topping artist. Harris gained widespread acclaim in 2003 after his notable feature on Bone Crusher’s ‘Never Scared’ and continued to captivate audiences with hits like ‘Rubber Band Man’ and ‘Let’s Get Away’ from his album ‘Trap Muzik’ in 2003. His album ‘Paper Trail’ in 2008 emerged as a standout project, achieving gold certification and topping the charts.
