A Thousand Horses

The Nashville-based band, A Thousand Horses, has ushered in a new era with their high-powered album, “The Outside,” produced by GRAMMY Award-winner Jon Randall. This album, filled with wildly life-affirming anthems, signifies a deeper exploration of the band’s freewheeling originality, a trait they have embraced since their debut album “SOUTHERNALITY” produced by Dave Cobb. The track “Smoke,” which is PLATINUM-certified, stands out as a smashing hit in their repertoire. The creative process behind “The Outside” began during a transformative period in the band members’ lives, culminating in a weekend trip to a Texas farmhouse in Summer 2021. It was during this getaway that Hobby, guitarist Bill Satcher, bassist Graham DeLoach, and former guitarist Zach Brown collaborated on the first song, sparking a significant evolution for A Thousand Horses. Their 2015 LP, “SOUTHERNALITY,” achieved a remarkable feat by reaching #3 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, with “Smoke” becoming the first debut single by a group to claim the #1 spot on the Country Airplay charts. Following the establishment of their own label, Highway Sound Records, A Thousand Horses made a striking comeback with their sophomore album, “BROKEN HEARTLAND,” in 2022. This album showcases standout tracks like “When I Hear Your Name” and “Another Mile,” solidifying the band’s reputation for powerful musicianship and soulful urgency. Renowned for their explosive live performances, A Thousand Horses have graced stages across the nation, sharing the spotlight with legendary acts such as Lynyrd Skynyrd. Looking ahead, the band is gearing up for their highly anticipated 2024 Fall headline tour comprising 21 shows, coinciding with the release of their full-length album, “The Outside,” on August 16, 2024.
