Alexandra Stan, the Euro-dance vocalist from Romania, rose to fame in 2011 with her chart-topping single, “Mr. Saxobeat.” Born on June 10, 1989, in Constanta, Romania, she kickstarted her music career in 2009 with the release of “Lollipop (Param Pam Pam),” a track written and produced by Andrei Nemirschi and Marcel Prodan. Following this modest debut, Stan achieved immense success with her next release,
“Mr. Saxobeat,” which dominated the Romanian singles chart for an impressive eight weeks. The track, also crafted by Nemirschi and Prodan, quickly gained international recognition, mirroring the success of other Romanian Euro-dance hits like Inna’s “Hot” and Edward Maya’s “Stereo Love.” The global appeal of “Mr. Saxobeat” led to its widespread release in 2011, reaching the top of the charts in multiple European countries and even making waves in the United States by claiming the number one spot on the Billboard Hot Dance Airplay chart. Simultaneously, Stan introduced “Get Back (ASAP)” as her third single and geared up for the launch of her debut album.
