Boy Named Banjo

Boy Named Banjo is a Nashville-raised five-piece band that thrives on the fringes of contemporary country, Americana, and folk-rock, rooted in bluegrass. The band, consisting of Barton Davies on banjo, Ford Garrard on bass and standing bass, Sam McCullough on drums, Willard Logan on mandolin, acoustic/electric guitar, and William Reames on acoustic guitar and harmonica, has been together in various forms since high school. The group’s formation began when Reames met Davies in high school, later joined by Garrard and McCullough to complete the current lineup. Boy Named Banjo has developed a unique sound blending country, bluegrass, alt-rock, and folk-pop, sharing their stories through an authentic roots-driven perspective. They recently signed a record deal with Mercury Records Nashville, releasing their debut EP, Circles, in 2021. Throughout 2022, BNB performed at major country music festivals, embarked on tours, including Kip Moore’s Fire on Wheels Tour, and played a sold-out show in their hometown of Nashville. The band is currently on tour and preparing for their upcoming project release later this year.
