Korean girl group CLC, known for their attitude and edge, deliver beat-forward K-pop anthems that prioritize fun dance energy over sweet ballads. CLC, the second all-girl outfit under CUBE Entertainment, made their debut in early 2015 with the release of First Love. Throughout the rest of the decade, they continued to capture the Korean audience with a series of EPs that consistently ranked in the Korean Top 20. It wasn’t until their U.S. breakthrough with Crystyle in 2017 that CLC gained recognition on the international stage. Achieving chart success in both Korea and the U.S., CLC reached new heights in 2019 with their eighth Korean-language EP titled No. 1.
The lineup of CLC included talented members such as leader OH SEUNGHEE, CHOI YUJIN, CHANG SEUNGYEON, SORN, JANG YEEUN, and KWON EUNBIN. Beginning their journey with the debut EP, First Love, in March 2015, CLC quickly followed up with Question in May of the same year. As the group evolved, they introduced new members and released Refresh as a septet. Their foray into the Japanese market was marked by the release of High Heels, featuring a cover of Kylie Minogue’s classic hit ‘I Should Be So Lucky.’ Returning to the Korean music scene, CLC dropped Nu.Clear in May and the second Japanese EP Chamisma in July. In 2019, CLC achieved a significant milestone with their EP, No. 1, which reached the Top Five in Korea and the U.S. World chart, securing a spot on Billboard’s Indie and Heatseekers lists, showcasing their continuous musical growth and success.
