Read MoreDas EFX
Das EFX is an American hip hop duo consisting of emcees Dray (also known as Krazy Drayz, born Andre Weston, September 9, 1970) and Skoob (also known as Books and Boogie Bang, born William “Willie” Hines, November 27, 1970). The duo named themselves “DAS” representing “Dray and Skoob” and “EFX” signifying “effects”. They gained fame in the early 1990s for their stream of consciousness lyrical delivery, which greatly influenced rap music of that era, and their connection with EPMD’s Hit Squad. Das EFX’s unique style included intricate rhymes, occasional made-up words (often with “-iggedy” endings), rapid flow, and abundant references to pop culture and hip hop culture.
