Forester

Los Angeles-based indie electronic duo, David Parris and Xander Carlson, form the core of the artist group Forester. Their music is a tapestry of lush soundscapes that draw inspiration from the serene views atop a mountain, the hues of deep pink sunsets, and the mesmerizing stars on a clear night sky. Established in 2019, the longtime friends embarked on their musical journey alongside their day jobs, dedicating their nights to crafting melodic masterpieces.
Their breakthrough came with the release of their debut single ‘Spark’, a track that resonated deeply with audiences and quickly garnered over 10 million total streams. Recognized by independent label Lowly Palace, Forester’s music also captured the attention of Kygo’s Palm Tree Records, leading to a signing in 2020. The artist duo’s discography now boasts three albums – ‘Kerosene’ (2019), ‘A Range of Light’ (2020), and ‘Watercolor’ (2022) – collectively amassing an impressive 100 million global streams and attracting a diverse fanbase encompassing both long-term dance enthusiasts and newcomers to the scene.
Beyond music, Forester advocates for the environment that serves as their muse, exemplified by their commitment to donating a portion of their debut album’s revenue to The Nature Conservancy. Xander Carlson emphasizes, “The Forester project is more than music; it is a platform for conservation advocacy, aiming to raise awareness about the irreplaceable nature of our planet.” Their impactful performances have resonated with audiences worldwide, from electrifying crowds at renowned festivals like Outsidelands to sharing the stage with Kygo at monumental stadium shows in Oslo and Mexico City.
