Hitkidd, born Anthony Lorenzo Holmes, Jr. in 1995, started his musical journey at a young age. At just 14, he began creating beats and quickly transitioned from a hobbyist to a professional producer. His talent caught the attention of notable figures in the music industry, leading him to work with prominent Memphis rappers like Duke Deuce, Co Cash, and BlocBoy JB, among others. Despite his focus on production, Hitkidd also released his own artist mixtapes, such as ‘Mastermind’ (2018), ‘Masterplan’ (2019), and ‘Hitkidd for President: 2020’ (2020). His exceptional skills as a producer eventually attracted major artists like Lil Uzi Vert, ASAP Rocky, and Megan Thee Stallion.
Hitkidd’s breakthrough came in 2022 when he achieved viral success with his track ‘F.N.F. (Let’s Go)’. Released through his label Campsouth Records, the song quickly amassed millions of streams, showcasing Hitkidd’s ability to create captivating and popular music. Not only did the booming beat capture listeners’ attention, but the accompanying video, directed and produced by Hitkidd himself, garnered over 30 million views in a matter of weeks. This achievement solidified Hitkidd’s position as a rising star in the music industry, with his innovative approach to production setting him apart from his peers.
