Drawing inspiration from all corners of music, ranging from royalty like Dolly Parton and Fleetwood Mac, to younger trailblazers such as Maren Morris and Kacey Musgraves, Virginia-born singer-songwriter Lexie Hayden has always sought to tap one particular attribute that these influences embody to her: honesty.
As an independent artist, Hayden has had seven songs featured on national radio. Amy Brown from the Bobby Bones Show selected singles “Sad Songs,” “Somewhere Drinking,” “Pretty Damn Close,” “Tequila For Two,” “Take Me Home,” “Might Be You” and “Fingertips” for the Women of iHeartCountry segment that aired on all 150+ iHeartCountry stations across the US. Hayden was also named the National Spotlight Artist of the Week twice by Bobby Bones and featured on the Top 30 Countdown. Besides being an artist, Hayden prides herself on being a songwriter as well. She co-wrote Priscilla Block’s single, “My Bar,” that went to country radio and broke top 25. Hayden’s songs have been featured on The Kelly Clarkson Show, The Tamron Hall Show, The CMT Awards, The Yara Shahidi Show, ESPN and The News Movement. Hayden was featured on the first ever season of “Becoming A Popstar,” a brand new show put on by MTV, TikTok and Pepsi. The series premiered on MTV, featuring celebrity judges Joe Jonas, Becky G and Sean Bankhead. Following the show, Hayden was selected to be a part of the Pepsi Music Lab; a program put on by Pepsi and United Masters.
