Love Fame Tragedy

Love Fame Tragedy announces their second album ‘Life Is A Killer’, set to release on 29th March 2024. Matthew Murphy, also known as ‘Murph’, the guitarist and lead singer of the platinum-selling indie band The Wombats, is back with a brand new single titled ‘Slipping Away’. ‘Life Is A Killer’ represents Murph’s most authentic work up to this point. As he juggles the responsibilities of being a father of two and touring the world with The Wombats, the album delves into themes of introspection and the challenges of balancing family life. This album, crafted over two and a half years across London and LA, showcases Murph’s most vulnerable and unrestrained lyricism yet.
Collaborating with renowned producers Jacknife Lee (known for his work with U2, The Killers, and Snow Patrol) and Mark Crew (credited for projects with Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, Lovejoy, Taylor Swift, and Bastille), ‘Life Is A Killer’ pushes the boundaries of Murph’s musical style and sonic expressions. The album’s title, inspired by a celebrated Pablo Picasso exhibition at the Tate Modern, follows Love Fame Tragedy’s previous release titled ‘Wherever I go, I Want To Leave’, which gained immense popularity with over 28 million global streams. With this new album, Love Fame Tragedy is set to captivate audiences with their unique blend of raw emotion and innovative sound.
