Miguel Jontel Pimentel, born on October 23, 1985, is an American singer and songwriter known for his expertise in contemporary and alternative R&B. Hailing from San Pedro, California, Miguel embarked on his music journey at the young age of thirteen. His debut studio album, ‘All I Want Is You,’ was released in November 2010 after signing with Jive Records in 2007. Despite the initial lack of promotion, the album turned into a surprise hit, elevating Miguel’s commercial success. One of the album’s tracks, ‘Sure Thing,’ initially saw moderate success but soared in popularity in 2023, reaching number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and becoming his most successful song to date.
Following Jive Records’ closure in 2011, Miguel transitioned to RCA Records and launched his second studio album, ‘Kaleidoscope Dream,’ in 2012.
