Born and raised in Brooklyn’s Flatbush district, Sheff G, originally known as Michael Williams, entered the rap scene inspired by Chicago’s drill music. Despite early involvement in gang activities, Sheff G penned his breakthrough single ‘No Suburban’ while on probation for a shooting incident. His fusion of Brooklyn essence into the U.K. drill style, exemplified by ‘No Suburban,’ gained immense popularity, solidifying his status as a local star.
