SMILE EMPTY SOUL is a hard rock band that originates in Los Angeles, CA in the late 1990’s and has remained true to their brand of “no bullshit”, “real as it gets” hard rock. The band signed a major label record deal in 2003 to release their self-titled debut album in May of the same year. They achieved significant success at alternative radio, rock radio, and other music channels that have evolved over time. Despite facing challenges with their record company shortly after, SMILE EMPTY SOUL persisted and continued to produce music, later signing with indie labels.
This path became SMILE EMPTY SOUL’s journey, leading them to release multiple albums on different labels, with the upcoming EP “Swan Song” set for release in late 2024. Renowned for their consistent touring and unwaveringly honest sound and lyrics, the band has always stayed true to themselves, rejecting offers to compromise their authenticity. As the spring of 2023 marks the 20-year milestone of their iconic debut album, SMILE EMPTY SOUL stands out as a prominent underground rock band of their era, embodying resilience and musical integrity.
