After a serendipitous encounter at a late-night club in Montreal back in 2002, the musical journey of Ossama Al Sarraf and Ned Shepard began to unfold. The duo quickly realized their innate musical bond and started a fruitful collaboration, working on original tracks and remixes. Their musical prowess led to the signing of their debut song by John Digweed’s Bedrock label, marking the start of their rise in the music scene. Collaborating with renowned figures in the EDM realm such as Dillon Francis and Tiësto, they expanded their repertoire to include remixes for chart-topping pop icons like Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga, and Madonna, solidifying their position as a dynamic partnership in the world of dance music.
Their global presence soared over the following years, gracing stages at prestigious music festivals like Tomorrowland, Ultra, and EDC, showcasing their electrifying performances worldwide. This period of their career was punctuated by industry recognition, including a Grammy nomination for Best Remixed Recording for their rendition of Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out Of Heaven” and two Juno Award nominations for Best Dance Recording. Transitioning back to their melodic house and progressive roots, the duo found a new home with Lane 8 and his label This Never Happened. The launch of their radio show, Dialekt Radio, further cemented their influence in the music sphere. Their collaborations with artists like Jon Hopkins, Angela McCluskey, Shallou, and Le Youth resulted in a series of captivating singles and EPs. In 2021, the release of their critically acclaimed second album, “Something, Everything,” captivated audiences. Building on this success, their third album, “Forever, Now,” released in 2023, featuring exquisite collaborations with Julia Church, Andrew Belle, Delhia De France, and other notable talents.
