The Flys

The Flys, a Hollywood-based rock band, had their origins in casual jam sessions involving future members James Book (bass), Peter Perdichizzi (guitar), Adam Paskowitz (vocals), and Nicky Lucero (drums). Later, Joshua Paskowitz, a singer/rapper, joined the group, leading them to be signed by Trauma Records. With a unique blend of alt-rock, post-grunge, and retro influences, the Flys stood out among the alternative bands of the late ’90s. Before their debut album ‘Holiday Man’ was released in August 1998, the band had already contributed to the soundtrack of the film ‘Disturbing Behavior’ and performed at the Bethel/Woodstock site for the A Day at the Garden show. Their second album, ‘Outta My Way,’ which included the popular single ‘Losin’ It,’ was released in the spring of 2000. However, by 2002, the Flys had taken a break from their music career and went on indefinite hiatus.
