Swedish hitmaking singer/songwriter Zara Larsson crafts R&B- and club-influenced dance-pop influenced by artists like Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Robyn. Larsson’s rise to stardom began when she won a Swedish singing competition at the age of eight, leading to a series of Swedish number one hits such as ‘Lush Life’ and ‘Never Forget You,’ both achieving multi-platinum status globally. In 2017, she achieved chart-topping success with her multi-platinum breakthrough album, ‘So Good,’ which propelled her to the Top Ten charts in Europe and Australasia. Subsequent albums like ‘Poster Girl’ in 2021 and singles like ‘Ruin My Life’ kept Larsson in the music spotlight, with ‘Ruin My Life’ hitting the Top Ten in Sweden. Continuing her success, Larsson’s ’80s-influenced track ‘Can’t Tame Her’ from the album ‘Venus’ made its way to the top 30 of the Pop 100 in 2023.
Born in Solna, a Stockholm suburb, Larsson made her debut on the Swedish talent show ‘Talang Sverige’ in 2008, captivating audiences with her talent. Following her victory on the show, Larsson signed with Ten Music Group and released her debut EP, ‘Introducing,’ showcasing the hit single ‘Uncover’ in 2013. The song achieved triple platinum status in Sweden, setting the stage for Larsson’s musical journey. Her first album, ‘1,’ released in 2014 under Record Company Ten and Universal Music, included several successful singles that climbed the Swedish Top Ten charts. International recognition came in 2015 with the hits ‘Lush Life’ and ‘Never Forget You,’ marking a significant breakthrough in Larsson’s career. Collaborations with artists like MNEK, Tinie Tempah, and David Guetta further solidified her presence in the music scene, leading to the success of her chart-topping album ‘So Good’ in 2017. Larsson’s subsequent releases, including ‘Ruin My Life,’ ‘Don’t Worry Bout Me,’ and collaborations with BTS, Tyga, and Kygo, showcased her versatility and continued success on the global stage.
