Thrice, a renowned name in the post-hardcore and alternative rock scenes, has unveiled ambitious plans for a fall 2025 headlining tour across North America. The band, well-celebrated for their genre-blending approach and dynamic live performances, will be joined on this tour by two other prominent acts, Modern Color and Downward. The tour is set to begin on October 17th in San Diego, California, making its way across various major cities, including stops in New York City, Los Angeles, Toronto, and Chicago, and culminating in Anaheim on November 23rd.

The band's announcement comes with a promise of “big things,” further igniting excitement among their dedicated fan base. Tickets for the tour have gone on presale to offer fans early access, with general sales beginning shortly thereafter. This tour marks a continuation of Thrice's enduring presence in the music industry since their formation in 1998 by high school friends Dustin Kensrue, Teppei Teranishi, Eddie Breckenridge, and Riley Breckenridge. They have managed not only to maintain but to grow their relevance over more than two decades. This longevity is largely attributable to their consistent innovation and willingness to experiment with various sonic landscapes, ranging from ambient and electronic to progressive rock influences.

Following a brief hiatus in 2012, Thrice made a robust return to the music scene, continuing to challenge and expand the boundaries of their original post-hardcore roots. They have notably integrated deeper and broader musical themes into their work with albums like “Vheissu,” “Beggars,” and the ambitious four-part “Alchemy Index” series. Their track “Black Honey,” from the 2016 album “To Be Everywhere Is To Be Nowhere,” became a significant hit, reaching No. 11 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart and maintaining its position there for 32 weeks.

The planned tour coincides with a prolific period for Thrice, following their latest release, “Horizons/East,” which shows the band still rooted in their punk-rock beginnings while embracing forward-thinking sound exploration. This ability to evolve while staying true to their foundational sounds has enabled them to retain and grow a passionate fan base.

For fans and newcomers alike, this tour offers a chance to witness Thrice's evolving soundscapes and to experience firsthand the vibrant energy that the band is known to deliver on stage. The collaboration with Modern Color and Downward promises a rich and varied concert experience, highlighting the diversity within the broader rock and alternative music scenes today. As the anticipation builds, Thrice's fall 2025 tour is set to reaffirm their position as a stalwart of modern rock, continuing to inspire and captivate audiences across North America.
