Blink-182 is stepping up to support wildfire relief efforts in Los Angeles with a special one-night-only benefit concert. The highly anticipated show will be held at the iconic Hollywood Palladium, a venue known for hosting some of the most memorable events in music history. Scheduled for February 13, the concert aims to provide substantial aid to areas severely affected by the wildfires that have recently devastated Southern California. All proceeds from the event will be directed to several local charities, with a significant portion benefiting the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation.

The Hollywood Palladium concert is part of a larger, concerted effort by the music industry to assist in the ongoing recovery and rebuilding efforts throughout Los Angeles. In addition to Blink-182, the punk band Alkaline Trio will be performing as the opening act. The band, which includes Matt Skiba—a former Blink-182 guitarist—Dan Andriano, and Atom Willard, brings an extra layer of history and anticipation to the event. Other beneficiaries of the concert proceeds include the Pasadena Humane Society, the California Fire Department, and the ARC Firefighter Fund, all crucial organizations in the fight against the devastating wildfires.

Tickets for the benefit concert went on sale on January 27, with all sales conducted through Ticketmaster. In line with their commitment to maintain accessibility and affordability, Blink-182 has partnered with Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange, ensuring that any necessary resale of tickets is conducted at the original purchase price. This initiative prevents ticket scalping and makes the event more inclusive to fans who genuinely wish to support the cause. The concert serves not only as a night of entertainment but as a beacon of solidarity among fans and artists joining forces to support wildfire relief.

This concert happens during a time when the music industry is actively redirecting its efforts towards supporting wildfire victims, a sentiment echoed by other major artists like Olivia Rodrigo, Lady Gaga, and Billie Eilish. Many have joined forces to participate in firefighting efforts and recovery programs across the state, underscoring a growing trend among artists to use their platform for charitable causes. The recent wildfires, which erupted around January 7 and caused wide-ranging damage across the Los Angeles area, have left many homeless and destroyed numerous properties, making such relief efforts all the more critical.

Blink-182's resurgence in the music scene with their album “One More Time…” has been met with both commercial success and critical acclaim. With the reunion of Tom DeLonge with bandmates Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker, the group has captured the enthusiasm of fans old and new. The benefit concert adds to their legacy as not just music icons, but as compassionate figures using their influence to assist in meaningful causes. Their decision to dedicate all ticket sales from this event to help fight and prevent wildfires marks an essential contribution to the community.
