The legendary rock band, The Guess Who, is gearing up for a remarkable reunion in 2026. Following years of anticipation and speculation, original members Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings have announced plans for a comprehensive tour, marking the iconic band's return to the stage. This exciting event is set to feature a nostalgic set of about 30 hit songs, promising fans a marathon concert reminiscent of Bruce Springsteen's legendary performances.

News of the reunion tour follows a significant legal development for the band. In 2024, Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings secured the rights to The Guess Who's name and trademark after resolving a long-standing legal dispute with the band's co-founders, bassist Jim Kale and drummer Gary Peterson. These rights had previously enabled Kale and Peterson to tour the U.S. under The Guess Who brand without Bachman or Cummings. It's a significant turn of events that now allows the original members to use the band’s renowned name, much to the delight of fans eager to see the authentic lineup back together.

Randy Bachman has been busy with his post-Guess Who band, Bachman-Turner Overdrive (BTO), which plans to release a new single, “60 Years Ago,” marking the band's first new material in decades. Meanwhile, Burton Cummings has been touring to support his solo endeavors, most notably his 2024 album, A Few Good Moments. Both musicians have been wrapping up their individual commitments, ensuring that they will come together refreshed and energized for The Guess Who's 2026 tour.

The preparation for this reunion tour reveals the persistence and collaboration necessary to bring such a monumental event to fruition. Randy Bachman has been in close contact with Burton Cummings throughout their solo tours in 2025, coordinating this massive project. Bachman expressed enthusiasm about the undertaking, stating, “We are all geared to do that in 2026. It’ll be the unveiling of ‘The Guess Who are back.’” Fans can look forward to an extraordinary lineup of classic tracks during the tour, showcasing the powerful legacy of the band’s discography.

The setlist is expected to be a tribute to their storied past, featuring hits such as “These Eyes,” “Laughing,” “Undun,” “American Woman,” and “No Time.” With Bachman and Cummings being the primary songwriters for these tracks, the tour promises to be an authentic celebration of the music that defined The Guess Who's success in the late 1960s and 1970s. This highly anticipated event will span two to three hours of live performances, delivering a dose of nostalgia for long-time fans while introducing the timeless music to new generations.

While Bachman and Cummings prepare for The Guess Who reunion, their upcoming solo activities remain a focal point. Bachman-Turner Overdrive will kick off its 2025 tour with a series of concerts across Canada and the U.S., sharing the stage with prominent acts such as The Marshall Tucker Band and Jefferson Starship. Similarly, Cummings is set to perform across various venues in the U.S. and Canada, engaging audiences with his solo material.
