The Black Keys have announced the release of their latest single, “Babygirl,” a captivating track that signals the impending arrival of their 13th studio album, No Rain, No Flowers, due later this year via Easy Eye Sound/Warner Records. This new song follows “The Night Before” and showcases The Black Keys' evolving sound as they delve deeper into pop-rock influences. The track was co-written by longtime collaborator Daniel Tashian and acclaimed producer Scott Storch, reflecting the band's willingness to explore new musical territories. Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney of the Black Keys expressed enthusiasm for working with Storch, praising his mastery of vintage keyboards and his innovative contribution to their music.

The Black Keys are gearing up for an extensive tour to accompany the album's release, a much-anticipated event following the events of 2024, which saw the cancellation of their North American tour and the firing of their management team. With resilience, the duo looks to rebound with performances across North America, as well as a European and UK tour slated for the summer. The North American leg will span from May to June, with a subsequent series of dates in August and September, featuring stops in cities such as Boston, Toronto, and Chicago.

The Black Keys' dynamic 2025 tour promises to entice fans with an array of supporting acts, including Hermanos Gutiérrez and The Heavy Heavy. The summer tour will kick off in May at Durant, Oklahoma, and travel through various iconic venues, including Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver, Colorado, and the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Additional shows across Europe and the UK will see the band performing in cities like Leeds, Manchester, and London in July, before returning for the second leg of their North American tour.

The Black Keys have always been recognized for their blues-rock roots, but tracks like “Babygirl” demonstrate their ability to incorporate contemporary influences and collaborate with other acclaimed artists and producers. This strategic fusion manifests in a refreshing and genre-bending sound that remains authentic to their original style while also presenting something new and exhilarating.
