Most artists don’t top Rolling Stone’s Best Country Albums of the year list with their debut album. But most artists aren’t Morgan Wade, who earned the top spot with her scathingly honest and raw 2021 LP Reckless.
While Reckless, and its Top 30 lead single “Wilder Days,” busted down the doors and introduced Wade as a once-in-a-generation songwriter, she now readies her anticipated follow-up project, Psychopath, arriving Aug. 25.
An astounding 13-track LP, Psychopath most excitingly finds Wade peeling back layers of her psyche like never before.
Wade has been no stranger to the road throughout the first quarter of 2023 on her headlining NO SIGNS OF SLOWING DOWN TOUR, which sold out 35 shows for more than 40,000 tickets sold.
A Virginia native, Wade has broken away from the pack to become one of country music’s most compelling new voices. Possessed with a raw and unflinching voice anchored by a perfect tinge of twang; the rare ability to pen honest portraits of some of life’s most precious and painful and unpredictable moments; and an onstage vulnerability that so seamlessly breaks down the wall between fan and artist, Wade has quickly made her mark on the country music scene — and the music world at large – with nominations for ACM New Female Artist of the Year, Americana Music Association Emerging Act of the Year, and CMT Breakthrough Female Video of the Year.

Lauren Watkins
Drenched in authenticity and rife with barstool charm with an addictive, Tennessee limestone gravel in her voice, Nashville-born and bred songbird Lauren Watkins writes, breathes, and lives country music. The 24-year-old original grew up on the outskirts of Guitar Town, mesmerized by a jukebox rotation of country music, from outlaws like Willie Nelson and Sheryl Crow to chart-toppers Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, and Chris Stapleton. Moving back after four years at Ole Miss, Watkins’ unyielding, turn-on-a-dime lyricism quickly caught the attention of GRAMMY-nominated multi-hyphenate Nicolle Galyon, who signed her to publishing and recording contracts with Songs & Daughters / Big Loud Records almost instantly. Honing in on a sound that’s both reverent of the genre’s roots and in lockstep with where it’s headed next, she introduced her take on country music with 17-track, full-length debut The Heartbroken Record, out now, the full-circle companion to previous EP releases Introducing: Lauren Watkins and Introducing: The Heartbreak. Watkins is touring fairs and festivals all summer before opening stadiums for Morgan Wallen internationally, theaters for Maddie & Tae, and dance halls for Corey Kent this fall. She’s previously toured with ERNEST, Conner Smith, Jameson Rodgers, Austin Snell, and Lily Rose.
Read MoreThe Oak Ridge Boys
The Oak Ridge Boys, a prominent and enduring group in country music history, began their musical journey as a gospel quartet before transitioning into secular country-pop, all while maintaining a strong foundation in country gospel harmony. Originating during the times of World War II around 1942-1943, in Knoxville, Tennessee, the group initially performed gospel tunes in Oak Ridge, a town known for its atomic bomb research facility. They were previously associated with Wally Fowler & the Georgia Clodhoppers and Capitol recordings until lead singer Fowler decided to focus solely on gospel music in 1945, leading to the formation of the Oak Ridge Quartet.
Over the years, the group underwent various transformations, notably in 1949 when a new band, the Calvary Quartet led by Bob Weber, assumed the Oak Ridge name. The group’s journey continued, adapting to the changing times in the music industry, eventually solidifying their lineup with prominent members like William Lee Golden, Duane Allen, Richard Sterban, and Joe Bonsall. The Oak Ridge Boys successfully bridged the gap between gospel and mainstream country music, garnering accolades such as their first Grammy in 1970 for the track “Talk About the Good Times.” Their musical evolution and chart success throughout the ’70s and ’80s solidified their status as country hitmakers and led to their induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2015, marking a significant milestone in their illustrious career.
