The Black Crowes are back on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ballot, and frontman Chris Robinson says the band is “equally as excited” after earning a second straight nomination.

In a Zoom interview with Billboard published Wednesday (Feb. 25), Robinson said he and brother Rich Robinson see the nomination itself as a major achievement.

Black Crowes React to 2026 Rock Hall Nomination

“Just to be included and to be recognized … it’s amazing,” Robinson said. “That we’ve been nominated again feels amazing. If we get in we get in, and we’ll be super happy.” He added that the recognition is “also about the fans,” calling them “the origin story.”

Robinson also said he spoke with Oasis’ Noel Gallagher shortly after this year’s nominations were announced. Both acts returned to the ballot in 2026 after appearing in 2025.

2026 Rock Hall Context

The Black Crowes were first nominated in 2025 and did not make the final class. According to Billboard, the group finished eighth in last year’s fan vote with about 165,000 votes.

The Rock Hall’s 2026 ballot includes 17 nominees, with 10 first-time nominees. For the full field and first-time vs. returning breakdown, see AXS TV’s complete Rock Hall 2026 nominees list.

Under Hall rules, artists become eligible 25 years after their first commercial recording. More than 1,200 voters — artists, historians, and industry professionals — determine the class, with the fan vote counting as one aggregated ballot.

What’s Next

The 2026 inductees are expected to be announced in April, with the ceremony set for fall.
