Deftones, the iconic alternative metal band from Sacramento, California, have announced an extensive UK and European tour set for early 2026, aligning with the release of their tenth studio album, “Private Music.” This eagerly anticipated tour marks a significant event for the band, following a five-year gap since their last album, “Ohms,” released in 2020. Known for their innovative blend of heavy yet ethereal sounds, Deftones will be kicking off this tour on January 29 at the Adidas Arena in Paris, France, and wrapping it up on February 20 at The O2 in London, UK. Along the way, they will traverse various European cities, promising a formidable live music experience to fans around the continent.

The upcoming album, “Private Music,” is set to release on August 22, 2026, through Reprise/Warner Records. The album has already generated substantial buzz with its lead single, “My Mind is a Mountain,” which debuted on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music Radio show. Co-produced by Nick Raskulinecz, noted for his work with bands like Alice In Chains and Foo Fighters, the album is poised to deliver the band’s distinct atmospheric heaviness while pushing sonic boundaries. This new work is a testament to Deftones’ commitment to evolving their sound while staying true to their roots, a hallmark of their illustrious career.

Joining Deftones on the road are supporting acts Denzel Curry and Drug Church, adding a dynamic layer to the tour's lineup. These collaborations promise to enhance the concert experience, contributing to the tour's atmosphere of excitement and unpredictability. Tickets will be available to the general public starting July 18, 2026, at 9 AM BST, but devoted fans who pre-order “Private Music” will gain early access to tickets. This strategic move not only rewards the band’s dedicated fan base but also builds anticipation for the new album release.

Throughout the tour, Deftones will bring their signature live performance style, characterized by frontman Chino Moreno's haunting vocals, Stephen Carpenter’s intricate guitar riffs, and the band’s immersive soundscapes. Scheduled performances in major cities include shows at Forest National in Brussels, Belgium; Barclays Arena in Hamburg, Germany; and AFAS Live in Amsterdam, Netherlands, among others. This extensive tour is not merely a promotional circuit for the new album, but a celebration of Deftones’ enduring legacy and influence in the rock genre.

The anticipation surrounding this tour underscores Deftones’ significant place in the music industry. Over their three-decade-long career, they have consistently challenged and redefined the boundaries of rock music, leading to the creation of their unique sound that merges elements of metal, shoegaze, and post-hardcore. As they prepare to embark on this tour, they continue to inspire and attract a diverse fan base eager to experience their new musical chapter live.

The announcement of the tour comes on the heels of Deftones’ successful North American tour, during which they captivated audiences across Canada and the United States with their powerful performances. The 2026 European tour, therefore, is expected to uphold this standard of excellence, delivering a mix of new tracks from “Private Music” alongside the beloved classics that have shaped their career. This juxtaposition of old and new promises concert-goers a rich, retrospective experience coupled with the excitement of witnessing the live debut of the band’s latest material.
