Kid Rock-Linked MAGA Festival Canceled After Only Six VIP Tickets Sold
The Patriots Day Freedom Fest, a MAGA-themed gathering planned for Saturday, September 26, 2026, at organizer Eric Deters’ farm in Morning View, Kentucky, has been called off. Deters scrapped the event about a week before it was due to take place after only six of a planned 100 VIP tickets, priced at $1,000 each, were purchased.
Morning View sits roughly 25 miles from Cincinnati, and the fest was set to draw a lineup heavy on conservative media and political figures rather than musical performers. Deters announced the cancellation in a Facebook Live video on Monday, September 21, 2026, which he later deleted.

Why Was the Kid Rock MAGA Festival Called Off?
Deters said his financing plan hinged on roughly 100 wealthy contacts he regularly does favors for buying up VIP packages, which advertised meet-and-greet access and a premium viewing area. He said many of those people simply ignored his outreach or brushed him off with excuses, including one who claimed to be traveling.
“I want to tell you something: Rich people, as a whole, suck,” Deters said, adding that none of the people who skipped out on VIP tickets “will ever, ever, ever get a favor from me again.” He went further, saying those individuals do not have what he called “Bulldog immunity.”
Deters was blunt about his own festival’s future: “I am never ever, ever, ever, ever doing this event again. Ever.” In a follow-up livestream, he pushed back on any suggestion the cancellation reflected weak public interest, insisting MAGA supporters “always turn out” and that the real obstacle was simply funding an event he offers for free general admission.
What Was Kid Rock’s Role in the Canceled Festival?
The scrapped lineup had included Kid Rock, Dog the Bounty Hunter, U.S. Representative James Comer and Fox News contributor Joe Concha. Kid Rock was booked only to speak at the festival, not to perform.
Deters was careful to separate Kid Rock from the fallout, calling him “a good dude” and saying he was “tickled to death” that the singer had agreed to take part. He stressed that the cancellation “had absolutely nothing to do with Kid Rock.”
A representative for Kid Rock told Entertainment Weekly that the singer was added to the event just five days before it was canceled, was booked only to speak, and had no other involvement with the festival.
Freedom Fest’s History and Past Cancellation
Deters, a right-wing YouTuber known for a string of unsuccessful runs for office in Northern Kentucky politics, has run the Freedom Fest three times over the past four years. Earlier editions drew crowds numbering in the thousands and featured appearances by Eric Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Candace Owens.
This is not the first time the event has fallen apart before happening. In 2023, the Freedom Fest was canceled after a planned appearance by then-candidate Donald Trump did not materialize and organizers ran into trouble lining up vendors. Deters said at that time the festival would return, and it eventually did before this latest cancellation.
