What Rod Stewart Said About the Niagara Falls Postponement

Stewart broke the news to fans through a message posted to his Instagram Stories rather than a press release. “Due to a mechanical fault with the aircraft’s landing gear, Rod Stewart is regretfully unable to travel to Niagara Falls and must postpone tonight’s performance at Fallsview Casino Resort,” the statement read.

The message went on to convey his frustration at letting fans down. “Rod is deeply disappointed and apologises to fans for the inconvenience,” the statement continued. The mechanical issue with the plane was described as beyond his control, and the March 4, 2027 date was announced alongside the postponement so ticket holders would know their tickets remain good.

Rod Stewart’s “One Last Time” Tour and Talk of Retirement

The Niagara Falls date is one stop on Stewart’s “One Last Time” farewell run, a tour that has already been disrupted once this year. The Fallsview postponement follows a June cancellation, when the 81-year-old singer scrapped a performance on his doctors’ orders after coming down with laryngitis.

Stewart, speaking on TalkSport, indicated that his touring days may be nearing an end. “I’ve got 40-odd shows this year and that’s not really a lot. And I’m touring the U.K. next year and doing the O2 and that will probably be it, I think,” he said. He also floated the idea of shifting his focus once he steps back from the road, adding, “I’ll have to do something new… come on your show more often.”
