Edward Christopher Sheeran, known professionally as Ed Sheeran, is an acclaimed English singer-songwriter. Hailing from Halifax, West Yorkshire, and raised in Framlingham, Suffolk, Sheeran displayed his musical talents early on by starting to write songs at the young age of eleven. His music career took off in early 2011 when he independently released the extended play No. 5 Collaborations Project, followed by signing with Asylum Records in the same year.
