The Doobie Brothers, an iconic rock band with deep-rooted ties to their extensive musical legacy, are set to embark on a North American tour in the summer of 2025. This tour is particularly special as it coincides with the release of their first studio album in over 40 years, titled ‘Walk This Road'. The tour will kick off at the Pine Knob Music Theatre in Detroit on August 4th, a location fondly considered a favorite by the band due to their longstanding history there, having performed at the venue more than 60 times since 1974.

Beyond the Motor City, the tour will span over 19 cities across the United States and Canada, with the final show set for September 18 at the Budweiser Stage in Toronto. Joining The Doobie Brothers on the road will be the Coral Reefer Band, known for being the longtime backing band of the late Jimmy Buffett. This collaboration is poised to be a poignant tribute to Buffett, as his music will continue to be celebrated on this tour. The involvement of the Coral Reefer Band is sure to infuse the concerts with a unique blend of musical styles, enhancing the live experience for fans.

Notably, the 2025 tour will bring together The Doobie Brothers' classic lineup, including members Michael McDonald, Patrick Simmons, Tom Johnston, and John McFee. This reunion is particularly significant as it marks the band's first joint album, ‘Walk This Road', since their last studio effort over four decades ago. With the album set for release in June 2025, the tour serves as a platform not only to revisit classic hits but also to introduce audiences to new tracks that promise to embody the band's enduring rock and roll spirit.

The ‘Walk This Road Tour' is eagerly anticipated not just for its musical offerings but for its potential induction of new energy into The Doobie Brothers' legacy. Fans old and new will have the opportunity to witness the evolution of the band's sound, reflecting both their rich history and current artistry. The setlist is expected to include a mix of new songs from the album and timeless classics, catering to long-time followers and attracting new listeners.

As part of the celebration of this remarkable milestone in their career, The Doobie Brothers will also be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in June, just before the album's release. This honor underscores their lasting impact on the music industry and highlights their continued influence in contemporary music culture. With a mix of nostalgia and innovation, the tour celebrates the band's legacy while paving the way for their future endeavors.

Tickets for the tour will become available with a special presale on February 13th, followed by a general sale starting February 14th. This advance notice provides fans with ample opportunity to secure their spots for what promises to be a series of unforgettable performances. The combination of The Doobie Brothers' compelling live presence, the introduction of their new album ‘Walk This Road', and the collaboration with the Coral Reefer Band, promises a summer of memorable concerts that will resonate well beyond 2025. Through this tour, the band continues to reinforce its place in rock history while sharing new chapters of their artistic journey with audiences nationwide.
