British rock band The Darkness has officially announced their 2025 North American tour in support of their latest album, “Dreams On Toast.” The tour, which promises an electrifying series of performances, is set to kick off on August 29 at the Rocklahoma festival in Pryor, Oklahoma, and head down to various venues across the U.S. and Canada from there. This tour will be a chance for fans to experience the band's new music live, as well as witness their much-lauded onstage energy. The tour will run in two segments, concluding its initial run on September 21 in Cleveland, Ohio, then resuming on November 7 in Houston, Texas, before wrapping up on November 22 in Denver, Colorado.

Fronted by the charismatic Justin Hawkins, The Darkness gained fame in the early 2000s with their debut album “Permission to Land,” which showcased their unique blend of glam rock, humor, and high-energy performances. Their latest album, “Dreams On Toast,” released in March 2025 via Cooking Vinyl, captures the quintessential sound that fans have come to expect from the band, mixed with some adventurous new musical explorations. The album has performed remarkably well, peaking at number two on the UK Albums Chart, and has topped various other charts like the Independent Albums and Rock & Metal Albums charts.

The upcoming Dreams On Toast tour is being billed as a “rock ‘n' roll rampage” where audiences can expect “glorious spectacles of foot-stomping, guitar-wailing, and face-melting, high-octane joy,” as famously described by the band themselves. True to The Darkness's cheeky spirit, they invite fans of all musical tastes, even making a playful reference to “peanut butter and jelly, maple syrup, or lovers of marmite” as they gear up to bring their unique flair across North America.

A key aspect of The Darkness's live shows is their engagement with the audience. Known for breaking the fourth wall, lead singer Justin Hawkins often pauses moments during live performances to interact with fans, sharing jokes or sing-along moments to elevate crowd involvement. This spontaneous and personable approach is complemented by the band’s exceptional musicianship, which creates performances that are both intimate and revelatory. Guitarist Dan Hawkins even highlighted how the unpredictability of their shows is what keeps fans coming back, underscoring the band's commitment to an exhilarating live music experience.

The band's tour announcement has been met with anticipation, especially following recent triumphs in their UK shows, where they solidified their reputation with high-energy performances. The Hawkins brothers, along with their bandmates, are excited to take this same energy abroad. It allows the band to share the new sonic journeys of “Dreams On Toast,” including tracks like “The Longest Kiss” and “Walking Through Fire,” which underscore their ability to blend classic rock elements with innovative new sounds.

Tickets for the 2025 North American tour will go on sale to the general public on April 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Fans are encouraged to act quickly, as The Darkness’s concerts are typically high-demand events, promising unforgettable nights filled with rock anthems and theatrical flair that have become the hallmark of their shows. Whether you're a long-time fan or new to their music, The Darkness promises to deliver an engaging rock experience. With their characteristic charm and undeniable talent, the band is set to make their Dreams On Toast tour an unforgettable milestone in their career.
