David Bowie: “You’re Not Alone” 360° Multimedia Experience
A major new immersive production titled David Bowie: You’re Not Alone will open April 22, 2026 at Lightroom in King’s Cross, London. The 360° multimedia experience has been created in collaboration with the David Bowie Estate and draws from the extensive archive of performance footage, photography, audio recordings, and personal materials assembled during Bowie’s lifetime.
This is not a newly released song. Instead, the production is a large scale audiovisual installation designed to place audiences inside Bowie’s work through panoramic projection and spatial sound. Organizers describe it as both a multimedia spectacle and an intimate self portrait, constructed entirely around Bowie’s own voice through curated archival audio.
Rare footage and reconstructed performances
Among the centerpiece moments is newly reconstructed footage of Bowie performing “Heroes” at Earls Court in 1978. The material was assembled from multiple camera angles discovered in the archive and adapted specifically for the immersive format. Additional segments are expected to span the Ziggy Stardust era, the Berlin period, and later reinventions, creating a chronological and thematic journey through his career.
Rather than presenting Bowie solely through his most famous personas, the experience is structured around broader themes including creativity, transformation, spirituality, theatricality, and songwriting. The goal is to present the artist behind the characters while still embracing the scale and spectacle that defined his stage presence.
Built for the immersive era
Lightroom’s projection space allows imagery to extend across walls and ceiling simultaneously, surrounding viewers with synchronized visuals and high fidelity audio. The production team includes figures associated with the acclaimed David Bowie Is exhibition, which toured internationally and drew record attendance before concluding its run.
Organizers say the format reflects Bowie’s long standing interest in technology and multimedia art. He was an early adopter of digital fan engagement and internet based projects, and this new installation extends that experimental impulse into contemporary immersive production.
Tickets and dates

For fans who experienced David Bowie Is, this project represents a next phase in presenting his legacy. Instead of artifacts behind glass, audiences step directly into the sound and imagery that defined one of the most influential artists of the modern era.
