Evan Stanley and Nick Simmons, the progeny of KISS legends Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, are taking a prominent step forward in their musical careers, echoing the footsteps of their iconic fathers. This new collaboration is noteworthy not just for the familial connections but for the self-expression and fresh direction they are embracing. Having recorded 10 songs together, Stanley and Simmons are setting out to create a distinctive sound that diverges from the famous heavy makeup and hard rock saga of KISS.

The duo has been progressively sharing their journey on social media, where they've uploaded snippets of their musical endeavors. Last year, they gave fans a taste of their collaborative effort through a video covering Simon & Garfunkel’s classic, “The Sound of Silence.” This performance laid the groundwork for what would eventually blossom into ten new original tracks. Their penchant for harmonizing was strikingly evident, and this musical chemistry has come to fruition in their recent studio sessions. The involvement of Emmy Award-winning songwriter Jacob Bunton further complements their songwriting capabilities, adding a distinctive edge to the project.

Evan Stanley has already made a mark in the music scene with his band Amber Wild, showcasing his versatility beyond the shadows of KISS. Amber Wild had the opportunity to open for KISS on their final tour, End of the Road, an experience that no doubt enriched Evan's musical prowess. Meanwhile, Nick Simmons, though primarily known for his appearances on the reality show Gene Simmons Family Jewels and his success in the comic book industry, has demonstrated an impressive vocal range in performances. Previously, Nick lent his voice to his father's solo album, further indicating his musical inclinations.

Despite not having unveiled an official name for their partnership, Stanley and Simmons have shared social media posts referring to themselves as “Stanley/Simmons 2025,” a nod to their lineage and perhaps a hint at the project's future branding. However, they are keen to emphasize that this endeavor is not intended as a continuation or revival of their fathers' famous band. In interviews, including one on the Misplaced Straws podcast, Evan has decisively pointed out that there are no intentions to resurrect KISS's legacy through their work; rather, they aim to carve their own path.

This burgeoning partnership, backed by strong family ties to rock royalty, presents an intriguing blend of heritage and innovation. It will be interesting to see how they craft their sound and whether they choose to release an album, given the volume of work produced thus far. While the musical world awaits an official announcement, Evan Stanley and Nick Simmons’s initiative to create their unique sound has already struck a chord with fans.
