A new feature-length documentary titled In My Voice will spotlight the life, career, and legacy of Ann Wilson, the iconic lead singer of Heart.

The Heart of the Documentary

Told in Ann’s own words, the film draws from her deep personal archives—home movies, photographs, journals, and rare footage—to chronicle her journey across five extraordinary decades. Audiences will hear how she found her voice, sustained it through fame and adversity, and emerged creatively renewed. It includes contributions from family, friends, bandmates, artists, and industry figures.

A Voice Until the End

Ann Wilson framed the documentary as:

“My story in my own words, told the way I’ve always wanted to tell it… It’s about finding my voice, keeping it alive, and sharing the journey with the people who’ve been part of it all along.”

Directed by Barbara Hall

The film is directed by Barbara Hall, an Emmy-nominated director celebrated for her immersive storytelling style and skill in crafting human-centered narratives. Hall described the project as “an honor” and praised Wilson’s unparalleled artistry and courage.

Release & Context

As of Aug. 28, 2025, no release date has been announced. Stay tuned for updates on trailers, premiere details, and distribution.

Ann’s return to the spotlight follows a health scare: she underwent preventative chemotherapy in 2024, leading Heart to postpone their tour. Thanks to successful treatment, she resumed performing in 2025.
