Kelsea Ballerini has made headlines for her recent handling of an incident at a concert where fans directed profane chants at her ex-husband, Morgan Evans. The incident occurred during her performance of the song “Penthouse” at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood.  While performing, some fans altered the song's lyrics with rude comments targeting Morgan Evans, Ballerini's ex, prompting her to pause the performance.

Ballerini stated to her fans, “Guys, you’ve got to stop saying that. Seriously, we’re three years past it, everything’s fine now,” emphasizing the importance of moving forward. She further clarified that while the song reflects on past experiences, it is now a piece she performs for her audience's enjoyment, rather than a personal message against her ex-husband.

She is currently on tour supporting her latest album “Patterns,” which reflects her growth as an artist and a person. Since her divorce, Ballerini has been focusing on new beginnings, both in her personal life and professional career. She's now in a relationship with Outer Banks actor Chase Stokes, and has demonstrated resilience through personal difficulties by making a conscious effort to focus on the present and the positive aspects of her life.

Ballerini's interaction with her fans at the concert is not an isolated incident. She has consistently shown a willingness to pause her performances to address issues, such as offering words of encouragement to a bullied fan in a previous show. This approach has earned her considerable support and respect from her fanbase, as seen in the comments across various social media platforms where fans echoed support for her decision to call out the derogatory chants. They commended her courage to stand up for respect and healing, cheering her on as a strong figure within the music industry.
